That's old school craftsmanship right there
Thank you for posting this. I just used it as reference to successfully install the windshield in my 67 F100. It took me a few hours, but worked perfectly. I did use plenty of silicone spray.
Great! Glad the video helped you out. Thanks for watching
I am fighting with that right now. This video is very useful, Looks like I need a few things to get this done. 1. helper 2. a stand like that to hold the windshield until the seal is on. You get the seal on by yourself you have supper powers.
Stand helps alot. If you don't have help to get seal on use lots of tape to hold it in place. You will definitely need a helper to get glass and seal in place on truck unless your super human. Thanks for watching and please subscribe. It helps ne out alot.
Did my 68' last year. Definitely worth paying the professionals! PITA
I agree. Doesn't take them long to do it but worth every penny.
Those guys are great! Never saw that before! Pretty cool! LB looking good!
LB is a hand full. Being a pup he gets i to everything and doesn't sit still long.
Gonna have my 67 ford windshield replaced , was wondering how it will be done, thanks dude for the great going threw
Thanks for watching.
Nice! I just messaged Abstract Customs for a quote so they can do exactly the same thing to mine, new front glass, new back seals 🙏🏼 thanks for your video
They did great work. Make sure to tell them you heard about them from our RUclips channel.
I've done this before. It's not very difficult. Start from the bottom and before you get to the top, you gonna make sure the glass is all the way to the bottom or you'll crack it. You can see these guys pulling it down. I just put one hand inside and one outside and pushed it down as hard a I could til I was happy.
I’m ready to see some more fab work.
Fab work is coming soon.
I never got an email from you, Drew Bush, with questions. Hope you got some answers from others. If not email me and I'll help answer if I can.
Please, I can’t find your email address, do you mind posting again. I’m so sorry.

Great video. More info on the 67. I have a 69 I am re-doing. Thank you for your time and effort.
Thank you for watching. It helps my channel out alot.
Great job I’m working on 72 now , driving 69 on 2008 every day. 72 getting long bed cut down found its lot of work. When finished one going to have to go . Not smart enough to get on RUclips 😊
I'm still learning the RUclips thing. I enjoy it and hope it helps others build their truck or at least shows others it can be built. Thanks for Watching!!
I have a long bed and a shot bed I would love to shorten the long bed. I seen some videos but looks like it would be long and hard task
Makes me wonder if soapy water and laying the seal in the sun before installing
Love it keep it comin
Thanks for watching!
If that vehicle is licensed for the road. You have to seal the glass to gasket and gasket to the body.
@lesco-brandon5158 where did you hear that from? Texas does not inspect vehicles older than 25 years, and starting in 2025, they will not inspect any vehicles. Also, there are no laws that are written for law enforcement to write a citation for anything to do with the glass gasket. I know because I've been in law enforcement since 2013 here in Texas.
I see some guys use a bedding and glazing compound between the rubber moulding and the pinchweld. Any reason why they didnt do that?
I have not a clue. Never installed a windshield before and had them do it because they had done other cars for me and the work always turned out great.
Excellent
Thanks
I personally think applying light coat of grease with a small brush along pinch weld would be a heck of alot slippery and easier......................
Thanks for the input. I'll try it the next time i install a windshield which is coming up soon.
I'm really curious why you did not dress the area on the outside of both the rear and front glass. Looks rusty in the video. Why not shoot some primer and paint around the edge before installing the glass?
The area the rubber was sitting in was not rusted. The truck did have alot of surface rust. Shortly after this video was made the truck was totaled.
@@LittleBoyCustoms omg that is horrible. Hope everyone is safe.
@@arrowandrew2613 everything is good. Almost done rebuilding the truck. Hoping to paint it this week or next and reinstalling glass
@@LittleBoyCustoms they did a killer job!sometimes those rope-in’s can be nuts they’re sometimes such a tight fit depending on the rubber and you really don’t know until you get started how that one is going to be it can be worse than just tedious LOL. Let me hit that subscribe real quick🤘🏼. Cool ride Little Boy Customs 🇺🇸💯
@@mrchops4099 thanks so much for hitting the subscribe.
What can I use in place of silicon spray? Really soapy water? I have a brand new paint job on a 69 and I don't want to use silicone on it much less in the body shop.
I would use the really soapy water if the vehicle has a nice paint job on it. For rust buckets like the one in this video I use the silicone spray.
I live in Alvarado and was wondering who did the glass work for you? I have a 65 F100 and have ordered the glass and rubber all ready, just need a installer.
I don't remember the name of the company but I know they wear company shirts with the phone number when installing the back glass video.
@@LittleBoyCustoms Do you recommend them
@@blakeneysanders4264 The company name was Abstract Auto Glass (817) 230-9120. They do great work. They provided the glass seals and install on my first truck at a fair price. Tell them Little Boy Customs sent you and ask for a discount!
Can we use wd40 or some kind of lube to get the rubber on the glass easier and also to pop it into the hole?
Yes
It’s best to find something that will not leave behind a heavy oil residue. The CRC silicone spray was go to until Walmart stopped carrying it and now a small van is over $8
You gonna get another F100? I read in one if your replies I replied to you that the truck was totaled. Did you get any compensation for the loss of the truck?
I have several F100 trucks in the yard now. Rebuilding the totaled truck with a new cab. No compensation for the loss truck.
Did you use glue
No
As I stated in an earlier rear glass video, it would have been much better if you did some metal prep work on the noticeable rust especially around the windshield mounting surface. It will bite ya in the butt down the road.
This truck in this video has already been totaled in a wreck.
@@LittleBoyCustoms Sorry to hear that. How much did they charge to do the install? I'm in California, so it's going to be more no matter what. $599 without chrome installed. $799 with chrome installed.
@@roostercogburn7243 They provided the front glass and rubber installed was $250
No instructions or how to tips? Lame.
What do you need instructions on. The video shows you how to do it. Not asking questions is lame.
are you gonna paint it?
This truck was wrecked shortly after this video. The new truck I am building will be painted!
@@LittleBoyCustoms WHAT!!!!! what happened to it?
@@braedenkreamer6670 There is a video on the Channel about it!!
