Every time I watch a new Fontaine character story I think "It can't get better written than this, they can't possibly outdo themselves after this story," and then Hoyo releases something like this and I'm emotionally devastated by how well done it is T.T

His foster parents were vile.
His foster parents were literal child traffickers. That's THREE main characters from Fontaine (if you include Lyney and Lynette) who are victims of child exploitation and trafficking. Very strange that, in the city of justice, all this crime seems to be going on without anyone noticing.

@@Eb-sq3jd Fontaine does have laws, i'm just wondering how they're not being caught. There's gotta be something deeper at play here. Some part of Fontaine we've yet to see that has a seedy underbelly of crime.
Weird to say but its actually nice to see these problems pointed out. What happened to the twins and Wriothesley is absolutely vile but sadly its all to common even in developed countries that boast about how great their justice system is, but in truth it really isn't and even news coverage can be tone deaf.
Kids being rescued is barely a blip on news but you'll see hundreds of articles on petty celebrity drama.
But anyway these characters quests have been great so far, I'm probably not pulling for her next patch but I can't wait for Furina's quest!

👀 Well, yeah. Because most of Fontaine are French inspired. I want for French accents.
This story quest is everything Genshin should have done from the start. Making a story about npcs no one cares about it boring (like Nilou and Ayato quests). Making the story about the character opening up and telling the traveler their secrets for no reason is fanservicy and makes no sense (like Raiden 1st story, Ayaka).
But using a story that is personal to the character to make them close to the traveler and show us their development and past is the way to go. Like Wriothesely, Venti, Neuvillette. I really can't wait for Furina story quest. Looks like the writers improved a lot in Fountaine. Let's hope they go this route with Furina as well and make a strong quest fitting for an archon.

@@angelashortall9778i think they mean that since the player can choose whether they play as lumine or aether, the sister or the brother, it's just easier to say sibling since it includes all players?
