Two of the band mates - Ri and Sim, are the granddaughters of Rajender Krishan, a famous Bollywood lyricist from the 60s and 70s. (He wrote lyrics to famous songs like 'ek chatur naar' and 'pal pal Dil ke paas'), so yeah, it's useless to think Bollywood has no influence here. But at least we can support a new style of music and singing style in our industry.

I think India has always had Ipop as a genre of music though (for example, Nazia Hassan who broke records with her pop music) but this is definitely a great blend of the new culture and era mixed into the beautiful Hindi language!

Feels like the Indian music industry is realising the appeal of pop music again. When I was really young, we had some outstanding pop music, but then the production houses and others decided to stop it. Remember "Made in India by Alisha Chinai" released in 1995? It was my introduction to the pop genre, my first love in music.
Yup. In the 90s, non film music was rocking the music scene. But suddenly everything came to a halt. Made in India song was everywhere. I heard that even in Chennai which was not as cosmopolitan back then.
I heard Made in India when it was released. Those were the golden age of Indian pop music.

Well I was born in the mid 2000s but now when I hear a lot of songs I realise that they were made by independent groups in 90s and 2000s. I was sad, like where did all these disappear. There was pretty much nothing after the 2010s. Let's hope independent groups increase in number and we have a music industry which has its own identity instead of being directly linked to our film industry.

The only thing i would like to say is focus on becoming famous and global. People will surely compare you to feel you inferior and say that you guys are copies and whatever. Just don't think about that, when you guys become famous and your music videos with fusion of indian and pop, those haters will disappear automatically. I'm so glad to see you guys. When k-pop started they also faced backless but they stood still, you also have to do.
