Seasons 1-3 was the glory age of total drama. Season 3 is my personal fave though haha. The Al-Heather rivalry was so out of the box and epic. Who woulda thought that Heather would become the lesser of two evils, to the point of becoming likable. Genius
+Superstitious33 Not really. 1 had some issues at Plaza de Losers(the flanderization 2 often get crap for was actually established in Season 1 there). With that said, this season was very solid. 2 was a jumbled mess(where the actual team making the show realized halfway through that the villain wasn't convincing and bulldozed in another villain). An enjoyable mess, sure, but still a mess. 3 was kinda hard to describe. It had some of the best(Alejandro and Heather rivalry) and some of the worst(BS eliminations were even more so than ever in this season). Essentially, this season haad high highs, and low lows.
Finale battles: Season 1- goth quiet girl Vs party guy Season 2- the good Vs the bad Season 3-the better of the 2 evils Season 4-brain Vs brawn Season 5-the lovers quarrel
I like how this song also projects their personalities perfectly: Alejandro sounds soft-spoken and gives fake compliments for encouragement (that's it, you're doing great etc...). But his gentleman attitude is totally fake. You can see it by how he shots lightning at Courtney and Lindsay. Heather, on the other hand, comes across as more straightforward and bossy (come on guys, move it fast etc...). She doesn't hide her true colors as she shots lightning at Cody and Harold. That really shows the contrast between Heather and Alejandro. While they have the same ambitions, twisted intentions and the same wicked personality, one is subtle about it while the other is pretty obvious. Regardless, they're both great villains and make an awesome couple!
also note the coloration of both alejandro and heather alejandro is blue in this song, and as you know blue is commonly associated with the good guy, so to speak obviously al isn't a good person in the show, so it's a pretty obvious yet clever way to show he's more subtle heather is depicted in a more orange red color, and red in general is associated with, well, the bad guy. while heather and alejandro are both bad people in terms of the show, heather obviously hides it less while alejandro is more subtle and portrays a good guy persona
unpopular opinion: i think the autotune sounds cool and suits the visuals of the song and al’s personality really well. y’all forget that in 2010 every song on the radio sounded like this 😭
Kmilo Because Mal used something that Alejandro does against him: He sabotaged 3 relationships and almost killed someone in World Tour. That also happened in All Stars and Mal used that leverage. Courtney and Scott broke up and Cameron almost got killed cause he didn't help him.
Them giving Alejandro more autotune as the season goes on to represent how his fakeness is coming to the surface more and more as the game goes on is actually genius (assuming it was intentional)

The Heather-Alejandro rivalry/relationship is the best thing this series ever did and it isn’t particularly close. It solidified Heather’s face turn and was the culmination of a three year character arc all while keeping both characters true to themselves. It was exquisite writing for anything, let alone a series that has been known to make questionable decisions over the years.
I loved Heather in this season. She was still a jerk... but she was a real team player. Also Heather's rivalry with Alejandro was hilarious! Plus she is also an awesome singer.
Alejandro was the best thing they could've introduced to the show- an evil more Heather with loyalties to everyone and yet no one, and wherein absolutely everything he does has a ripple effect. His nice guy outer demeanor seamlessly masking sinister intentions and a silver tongue allowing him to sway the even likes of Duncan and Heather, a intricate web of lies and promises of loyalty giving nigh complete control of the entire cast. Alejandro is like a spider, striking with precision and without remorse. Heather used seduction to tear Gwen and Trent apart in season one, and Alejandro uses seduction to discreetly sway everybody to his side without implicating himself. And Heather knows this- she sees much of herself in Alejandro, which is why she is so determined to beat him. The mirroring between the two was evident from day one, and from then on til the end, it was what made Total Drama World Tour the greatest season of the entire show. Everything was a stage for Heather and a mirror of her old self.
Austin Frazier It makes it all the clearer that the battle between Heather and Alejandro is personal- the money never mattered, at least not to Heather. From day one, it was personal. Heather was actively trying to better herself throughout world tour, but was forced to play Alejandro's game- the game she originally made- to stay competitive. She had to juggle her hatred for Alejandro despite their obvious similarities lest she become wrapped around his finger as Courtney was, her composure and gradually improving nature with herself, and all her alliances just to stand against Alejandro. Hugely burdening for Heather, whereas Alejandro barely had to lift a finger. Alejandro had taken the manipulation that was trademark of Heather, and refined it with his natural people skills to keep his hands off what happened to those he manipulated, whereas Heather still had to work through her bad reputation with the rest of the cast when forming her alliances. Alejandro is an utterly diabolical villain- and the perfect enemy for Heather, as she's the only one who could see what he really was. Duncan wasn't far off, but he made the fatal error of placing his trust in Alejandro for even a moment. The rivalry between Heather and Alejandro was the best thing that ever happened to Total Drama, a compelling battle of ethics and wit from beginning to end.

I like the way Heather and Alejandro throwing the lightning is fit to their character. Alejandro throwing is slowly because he’s strategically throwing them so he doesn’t hurt Lindsay and Courtney but only scared them into going faster. While Heather throws hers so it hits Cody and Harold considering she doesn’t care what happens to the other contestants as long as she wins. Her hitting Harold and Cody make them go slower and so she loses the first part of the challenge.
I'd like to think Harold sided with Heather remembering his one-on-one moment with Heather in between TDI & TDA where Harold & Heather had pretty much become the black sheep of the show. Also I love Harold's verse, especially the 'Now it's evil versus wicked', truly summarizes Heather & Alejandro perfectly, and why they deserve each other.

I have, and I'm a singer myself. believe me I know good singing, and it's not Sierra. And I know she didn't sing that well in Strip them down but it's the only place she sounded relatively good even if it was just one line. Oui my friends doesn't sound good. and her ending in Gwen's face is horrible. and hearing her in Condor actually disturbs me. I'm gonna make it was okay but it only sounded good because others were singing with her. when a group of people sings, it usually sounds good. The only ones I'd consider switching here is Geoff with Cody.
I am SO glad they had it come down to Heather vs. Alejandro. It's a first in 2 ways. Two villains against each other AND two characters who are attracted to each other. Plus throughout the whole season we see them scheme and conspire against each other, it was fun to see them actually bring it to the game's finale. Like Heather said they're the greatest adversaries the game has ever seen. I think that TDWT was probably my favorite season because of it (the music and locations/challenges too)

I have, and I'm a singer myself. believe me I know good singing, and it's not Sierra. And I know she didn't sing that well in Strip them down but it's the only place she sounded relatively good even if it was just one line. Oui my friends doesn't sound good. and her ending in Gwen's face is horrible. and hearing her in Condor actually disturbs me. I'm gonna make it was okay but it only sounded good because others were singing with her. when a group of people sings, it usually sounds good. The only ones I'd consider switching here is Geoff with Cody.

I am SO glad they had it come down to Heather vs. Alejandro.
It's a first in 2 ways. Two villains against each other AND two characters who are attracted to each other. Plus throughout the whole season we see them scheme and conspire against each other, it was fun to see them actually bring it to the game's finale. Like Heather said they're the greatest adversaries the game has ever seen. I think that TDWT was probably my favorite season because of it (the music and locations/challenges too)
