    I’ve been back and forth about getting one cause I really love the idea of a collapsible cup like this. But I couldn’t bring myself to spend $20 on a cup I wasn’t sure about. Thanks for the honest review and saving me the money

      I never heard of this brand until I signed up for a subscription box through Mighty Fix. You can get it through there and save a few dollars. I got the pink 16 ounce one and I love it

      Check your local thrift store! I had been wanting one of these for the longest time and I found it at my local Goodwill. 😊

    I have a 16oz and a few 8oz Stojo cups. For me, the cups function for made fresh and drink fresh coffees and teas. I use the 8oz ones when I make fresh from home to drink on my way to work as I usually finish my drink early in my commute. When I get to work, I can wash it out and then use it for soda, gatorade, or even soft-serve icecream. I like having a few of the small size because after some long work days, I don't always get the chance to wash it immediately. The 16oz is my "keep-in-car-for-Starbucks-or-Jamba-Juice" because it comes with a straw and honestly it serves that purpose well. I drink the drink and then collapse it until I get home. I like this collapsing system because I drink one cup of coffee a day and I shouldn't have to lug a thermos with me all day. The small form factor is important for me when it is not in use.

    Thank you so much for the honest review and talking about the film and 'taste retention'. I love the design and theory of these collapsible cups, I've bought a lot over the years - always with the hope that "This one won't make water taste like a plastic belch!", but alas I'm disappointed every time and off to the island of misfit cups they go.
    I'm looking for something that I can keep collapsed in my backpack, use on planes and be able to either carabiner clip to or stay in the tiny backseat pocket, and honestly just be used for keeping cool water tasting like cool water.
    I'd love a whole series on comparing collapsible travel cups, tbh. One of them out there has to have solved for the nasty taste issue, right?

    I been using this cup for my coffee when I’m out and about for around 6 months now . It’s great travel mug . I stash it in one of those reusable stashed silicone bags . Only thing I would say is don’t put pressure on (like push down) the top lol . Your drink will come out :0) but other then that . It’s great for on the go .

    One of the best foldable cup out there. Dont use dishwasher but please use sponge and dishwasher soap to clean the stain and taste. I still use mine for 2 years already and this cup is still holding well. For commuting i hook on a viida silicon cup holder on the lid. Only downside is its not gonna hold your drinks temperature well.

    Thanks for the quick and consice review! I've been thinking about buying a HUNU cup for a while but they're quite overpriced and have a couple of flaws. You've really convinced me with this one.
    I actually have the opposite problem with heat renention. I need a cup for tea. I drink my drinks fast and so carrying my flask out and about is really inconvenient cause that keeps everything boiling hot for about 12 hours. I NEED my drinks to cool fast.
    The heat when holding the cup may be and issue but I'll keep my hopes up!!

    It's a cup, it is supposed to work as a cup though. To replace disposable cups for hot coffee or iced late. If you're looking for something that keeps it warm than you should get insulated cups for sure.

    Thanks for the review! I was interested in getting one for my morning commute (I take public transit so liked the concept / that I wouldn't have to lug something bulky around once I'm done drinking) but will probably skip this now!

    I am thinking to buy Stojo cup, therefore I watched many videos about it, but all videos only show the good parts of the cup, except yours. I like your video, more different points of view. It helps.

    Do you think cafiza and hot water help with flavor retention and film??

  • @chrispnw2547
    @chrispnw2547 Год назад

    Use baking soda after each use to ensure flavors are not retained.

    thanks for the honest review. i attempted to use the stojo before but it is just poorly designed and wrong choice of material. good concept but poor execution..

      Another youtuber Sarah Terese recommends it all the time and I wondered if it was just my cup that stinks so much. I am glad to hear that I am at least not the only one who is really disappointed. The reviews online were all excellent which seems suspicious now.

      @@marielockhartmichlova102 Yeah, the silicon smell was horrible and even after 3 weeks of washing and cleaning using various methods, it still leaves the silicon taste in my plain water. And to be honest, if the silicon taste is still there, who knows what other bacterial/germs are released into our beverage...
      I'm not sure why this product was even released if there is this issue...

    • @marielockhartmichlova102
      @marielockhartmichlova102 3 года назад

      @@kiatography22 Sometimes they don't test the product before releasing it, I suppose they read that the material is odour free and went for it. OK, but they should have stopped the distribution and refund their customers. I can't believe they distribute the cups worldwide when so many high-quality products are not available in our country even after years or decades.

    This was a useless device. Closing the cup isn't that easy and the folds have creases in them. Getting the lid on or off with liquid inside was difficult too and it is overall bulky. It just seems like a good concept but needs better execution.

    The worst cup I have ever used, including dirty cheap fakes.

    • @marielockhartmichlova102
      @marielockhartmichlova102 3 года назад

      And I cleaned it many times in the dishwasher and it doesn't help, it destroys any taste of the drink and it strongly smells like toxic plastic... I have no problems folding it and it doesn't seem too hot to hold (I had worse in this term) but if every drink smells and tastes like a chemical poison, it is disgusting. Especially for the price. Too bad I got the most expensive size and without any discounts. My worst purchase of 2020 by far.
