  • Turning under the sweet yellow clover for the organic summerfallow fields. This type of clover provides much needed nutrients back into the soil, as well as aids in fighting off weeds.
    As always, take care and enjoy! Please rate the video and subscribe. Leave a comment or ask a question.

    We have had several do that over the years my grandmother told me a trick after a while the lines get stuff in them from farm tanks and you take the line off side of fuel filter going to tank open cap take air nozzle and blow it back to the tank make sure fuel rushes back out the line hook it up and she 'll run like she is new

    It not my equipment but turning with that disc in the ground is a good way to bust it, and it puts a lot of unnecessary stress on the frame

      Turning right I always feather it up to not be as deep as long as there isn't any rocks... It's a Wishek so not too worried. Any other disk would be lifted out of the ground.

    When was this planted? Is this like a winter crop after harvest planted? Seems very well established to be spring planted.

    • @farming4g
      @farming4g  5 лет назад +1

      It's planted the year before with whatever crop is to be harvested that year. The next year it takes over until tilled.

    i would have bailed it & used it as bedding in my barn..

    • @chunkmen
      @chunkmen 6 лет назад +4

      defeats the purpose of an organic mulch/cover crop unless you are in desperate need for bedding its a very poor agronomic choice.

      Every year is different... But what has pulled us through numerous times more than anything has been cattle.

    why didn't ya bale that clover up and then disk it...?????

    • @farming4g
      @farming4g  Год назад

      As in the title, Green Manure. For the next year's organic crop.
      Only time I consider baling it is if hay is dangerously low in a drought year or something.
