Ola, man I'd like to thank you so very much for making this video... The other day I was trying out a product that will instantly charge your tablets or phones, I made the mistake of plugging this insata charge into the usb port on my Proscan tablet, I forgot proscan has a separate charging port not a usb.... Anyway something went wrong... I was scared crapless, oh no not my tablet... I'm screwed.... Although I only had the insta charge unit plugged in my tablet a few short seconds, my tablet locked up, all I was getting after I turned it on now was the blue proscan screen then the android robot, next the android screen and nothing else. I did the reboot you describe here... Thank God, it worked.... Fortunately I had the up/down volume buttons... Thanks again sir.
Worked for me. Thanks!! I had to try about 10 times to get the blue screen. What worked for me was hold both buttons for 10 secs. then release the reset button while holding the power button.

Ok guys i too couldn't get passed the android guy so what i did was stuck the paperclip in to find the button then once I found it I pressed on that button and the power button together simultaneously a few times and the next screen popped up so give my man so credit he got you guys this far you jus have to be patient and think and focus on what It is your doing have a good day hope that works

From what I found, it works the same way as describe in my video. Make sure that you click the button in the small hole a couple of times to ensure you found it, then press and hold it. While hold that down, press and hold the main power button together with the small button for about 15 seconds. If it does not work then give it a few more tries in that same order. If you were able to get to the point where the Android is logo is on his back, then you got the steps right and just follow those same steps again. Please let me know if this help. Thank you
Ok, to everyone that is having issue getting to the second screen with the blue letters (boot recovery screen) please read carefully just as explained in the video. Because some of you after seeing the Android Logo on it's back... are then pressing the power button first then the reset with out being sure you found the reset button yet. So please do as it I instructed in the video by feeling for the reset button first by clicking it a couple times with the paper clip (just to ensure that you have and can easily press it)... once you know for sure that you can easily press the reset button in the tiny hole... hold the paper clip in the hole without pressing the reset button (but in a position where you can quickly and easily press it)... now press and hold the power button first ... then quickly press and hold the reset button since you have the paper clip in position... at this time both button should be pressed and held just as demonstrated in my video. Please post if this information was helpful to you. Thank you

Do you start the process with the tablet being off first? Meaning while tablet is powered off... press and hold the reset button... while that is held down... press and hold the power button with it as well. At this point both buttons should be held down together. Keep both down for 10 to 15 seconds past boot screen (until robot is lating on its back). Try that and pleade post if thar helps.
For those of you that are having difficulties getting to the Boot Recovery Screen (one with the blue letters) please be patient as it may take a few attempts. If you were able to get to the Android logo screen, repeat that same step to progress.
I did try it over and over. Whats happening is when u press the reset button. It will reset like rebooting the tab and its not stay the android logo like what u did .

Hi there, I have got as far as the command screen but I cannot scroll through the list. Tablet is a Yarvik Xenta. The combo that gets m ethis far is power and "ffm" button. I have tried the reset button to scroll but this just reboots. The power button selects and the ffm button does jack! Any help is greatly appreciated!
Trying to reset the same one you have, I was following along with you except the one I have will not go into the blue screen settings. I have search high and low for other options or routes. I have had no luck. Any other thoughts?
If you have the buttons... while your device is off, hold down the 'down volume button and then press and hold the power button with it as well for about 5 to 10 seconds. After the robot us on uts back... use the 'down volume button to navigate to the 'factory reset wipe' option. The press the power button to select it. Do the same thing when tbe next menu screen pops up... hight and select yes to confirm it. This should take care of that. Please reply stating if this helps you or not. Thank you.

Hi, triyed out your solution but can't get it to work. Shame cause that was the best answer I found and it was very promising. I hold down both the reset and power button for about a minute but no avail. when I release them, the tablet starts and stay stuck on the android logo. Seems that as long as the reset button is in use, the system won't start and if I release it, it goes back to the stuck logo. This is an MPMAN MPQC784 tablet and I would apreciate any hole to digg in
When you see the Android logo on its back, do you see a list of options (commands) typed in blue? If not, after you see the Android logo lating on its back... press the power button once and release it. It should pop up the menu then. From there follow the video to proceed. Please post if the helps or not. Thank you.

Yes sending it back sounds like a great idea... you don't want to do a fix now and then months later it happens again. Sound like it may need to be looked at or even replaced.

Is there another way of doing the factory rest because it didnt work on my proscan plt7777g-q tablet. All it kept doing was turning the device off. PLEASE HELP
You have to start by turning the tablet off. Then hold down the rest button... while that is down press and hold the power button as well. At this point both buttons should be press and held down. Hold both down for 10- 15 seconds until you see the robot on its back. That should help you get the ball rolling... then follow the rest of the video to completion. Please post if thst help. I did the hard reset but its froze at the select language (welcome) screen. Any advice? The whole screen is frozen. no response when touched the triangle on the right of the start up screen or select language. Thanks
I decided to try this video to help me with my tablet, which does not have a volume button. When I power on, you quickly see a android guy (right side up) for just a sec, then the Supersonic Logo, then...it just hangs at the word "Android" where it has a whitish background swiping through the word as if it's loading. But, it will stay like that for hours. I've left it like that overnight and was still stuck in the morning. Any thoughts? It's a Supersonic SC-91JB 9" Tablet.
I have a reset button, but all it does is shut off the tablet. I have found that if I hold Power and Home on a plt8816K Proscan tablet, I will get the robot, but I don't know what to do next since the reset won't work and holding down the same two buttons doesn't work either.

When you get to the screen with the Android on it's back... Don't just press the reset button by it self... You have too press and hold the reset button with the power button together for 5 -10 seconds to get to the next screen just as describe in the video. I hope that helps you out.
I have the reset button it's on the back of my proscan. I have the value rocker up and down button that's how I get to the robot laying on his back. When I repeat that holding the power off & valium down button it cuts off. HELP PLEASE
After the robot is on its back... you should be at a menu screen. If you don't have a menu screen... press the power button 'only' to move on. Please let ud know if that helps. Thank you.
When booting my tablet it will show the blue ProScan screen, then the green Android robot, but then gets stuck on some text that says "Android" with a shimmer across it. I can't get into any menus and there are no buttons on the outside with the exception of the power/screen lock and the reset hole so a factory reset isn't an option. If there is a key combo with the two buttons, I can't figure it out.
I do not feel the button when I put my paper clip in the whole so I do not know what to do and I am having the situation you described I just cannot find the whole.
I have a PLT7777G-Q from Proscan. I managed to format it using ADB, as this method wouldn't work. Once I did that, it still doesn't turn on. It get's to the android logo with the "shiny text" and doesn't load. I've let it sit for at least 30 minutes charging but still nothing. Now, however, it is no longer getting recognized on either of my computers by ADB (Both Mac on 10.9 and PC on Windows 7)
I found Firmware for the Proscan PLT7777 on the Curtis web site. I got it flashed and the tablet starts up again, but now the touchscreen won't work. Dose anyone know of a better spot to get the firmware?
To be honest, I have not tried it on a Polaroid tablet; but it should not make a difference. Which part are you having an issue on? Were you able to have the Android logo on your screen? If not; first step is powering down the tablet. Then do the following while it is powered off... Remember to insert the safety pin in first. Feel for the small button inside the hole, once you feel for it, press and hold it down with the safety pin. While that is being held down, press and hold the power button down as well. So at the point both buttons should be held down. Hold both buttons down for about 10- 15 seconds even while the tablet is powering back up. You should see the logo after that. When the Android logo appears; remove and then re-insert the safety pin just as you did before with the power button. Holding both down for 10- 15 seconds again (to get to the blue letters screen). Hope this helps and please post your findings as this would help other viewers. Thanks and don't forget to click like and subscribe.
i really appreciate the video you have.. hope you can help me with my MODOEX tablet.. it keeps downloading every time it access the wifi or any internet connection.programs are installed unknowingly and adding up the work of the tablet and hung up after few minutes..then it cycles again reboot and download unwanted programs and hung up.. and so on..
It must be one of you apps that keeps installing those other ones. You can install Avast and do a scan for that app play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.avast.android.mobilesecurity
ok i did everything as instructed and get to the menu, i try clicknig the reset button to move the higlight bar down to select factory reset but when i click the reset button my tablet just shuts off instead of moving down the highlighted bar. pls help.
Tried your method with the Proscan PLT7777G and it did not work. Could not get to the little Android man despite multiple tries. This tablet has the reset button on the back and I can feel it clicking but no screen change--If I hit the power button alone it goes to the blue screen and no farther. Can you help me??
Try powering off the tablet. Now while it is off... press and hold the reset button; while that is held down... press and hold the power button as well. Hold down both buttons for about 10- 15 seconds (even during the Proscan splash screen). If it was down as descibed, you should see the robot laying on its back. Ey Ola, my nephew forgot the pattern of his tablet but it has no physical buttons apart from the power switch and no pin hole. Any ideas on how to reset it?! thx
Oh yeah.. This video covers how to resolve you issue. Just follow it and take your time... It can take a few tries to get it but watch it carefully and I am sure it will help you.
Hi, I have a Time2 tablet. When I press and hold the reset and power nothing happens. If I release the reset the tablet boots normally. I have tried this a few times holding both buttons for several minutes.

To those trying to get to the blue text menu: while you see Android laying on back, press and hold power button, then press paperclip in and release. You'll see the menu.
I was on RUclips watching videos then i tried tapping my screen and it wouldn't work then my screen went completely black now it won't turn on I tried doing this method but it still won't turn on.
It sounds like your batter is not getting a full charge. Please try using a different charger and let it sit on it for 10- 15 minutes; then try powering it on. It does not power on after using a different charger, I would then contact the company or manufacturer of the tablet on that issue.
I have. I charge it, and try turning it on then I disconnect the charger from the tablet, then reconnect it. I comes on for about 2 to 3 seconds and then go off.
Sound like you may have a bad battery, charging port, or charger power cord. I would contact the company it was purchased from or the manufacture for further assistance.

That means you may have the wrong hole or the button does not really click as much.

Final after looking over the entire Internet I finally found a video that shows how to format my old tab without the volume bottom 😀😀😀

Dheric Douglas repeat those same steps just like it was done in the video. That should get you to the screen you need.
I did try many times again but everytime I hit the reset button it reset the tab like it reboot.

Is there another way of doing the factory rest because it didnt work on my proscan plt7777g-q tablet. All it kept doing was turning the device off. PLEASE HELP
You have to start by turning the tablet off. Then hold down the rest button... while that is down press and hold the power button as well. At this point both buttons should be press and held down. Hold both down for 10- 15 seconds until you see the robot on its back. That should help you get the ball rolling... then follow the rest of the video to completion. Please post if thst help. I did the hard reset but its froze at the select language (welcome) screen. Any advice? The whole screen is frozen. no response when touched the triangle on the right of the start up screen or select language. Thanks
I decided to try this video to help me with my tablet, which does not have a volume button. When I power on, you quickly see a android guy (right side up) for just a sec, then the Supersonic Logo, then...it just hangs at the word "Android" where it has a whitish background swiping through the word as if it's loading. But, it will stay like that for hours. I've left it like that overnight and was still stuck in the morning. Any thoughts? It's a Supersonic SC-91JB 9" Tablet.
I have a reset button, but all it does is shut off the tablet. I have found that if I hold Power and Home on a plt8816K Proscan tablet, I will get the robot, but I don't know what to do next since the reset won't work and holding down the same two buttons doesn't work either.
Hi there , i have a problem here is that when i get to that screen with the android opened and where u say try it again to go to that menu , i hold that reset button with the pin but what happens is that the tablet go black like you turned it off , any solution ? thanks for the tuto
When you get to the screen with the Android on it's back... Don't just press the reset button by it self... You have too press and hold the reset button with the power button together for 5 -10 seconds to get to the next screen just as describe in the video. I hope that helps you out.
how much time does it take to restart afterwards?
It does not take that much time at all after factory restarting it.

I have the reset button it's on the back of my proscan.
I have the value rocker up and down button that's how I get to the robot laying on his back. When I repeat that holding the power off & valium down button it cuts off. HELP PLEASE
After the robot is on its back... you should be at a menu screen. If you don't have a menu screen... press the power button 'only' to move on. Please let ud know if that helps. Thank you.

When booting my tablet it will show the blue ProScan screen, then the green Android robot, but then gets stuck on some text that says "Android" with a shimmer across it. I can't get into any menus and there are no buttons on the outside with the exception of the power/screen lock and the reset hole so a factory reset isn't an option. If there is a key combo with the two buttons, I can't figure it out.
it didn't work for me and my tablet have both power buttons and volume rockers along with the reset button at the back...what should i do?

The reset button is in the small whole. If you use a paper clip... you should be able to click with the pin.

I do not feel the button when I put my paper clip in the whole so I do not know what to do and I am having the situation you described I just cannot find the whole.

I have a PLT7777G-Q from Proscan. I managed to format it using ADB, as this method wouldn't work. Once I did that, it still doesn't turn on. It get's to the android logo with the "shiny text" and doesn't load. I've let it sit for at least 30 minutes charging but still nothing. Now, however, it is no longer getting recognized on either of my computers by ADB (Both Mac on 10.9 and PC on Windows 7)
I found Firmware for the Proscan PLT7777 on the Curtis web site. I got it flashed and the tablet starts up again, but now the touchscreen won't work. Dose anyone know of a better spot to get the firmware?

Good night I tried it a few times n still having got anything as yet....I have a Polaroid tablet...does that make a difference?
To be honest, I have not tried it on a Polaroid tablet; but it should not make a difference. Which part are you having an issue on? Were you able to have the Android logo on your screen? If not; first step is powering down the tablet. Then do the following while it is powered off... Remember to insert the safety pin in first. Feel for the small button inside the hole, once you feel for it, press and hold it down with the safety pin. While that is being held down, press and hold the power button down as well. So at the point both buttons should be held down. Hold both buttons down for about 10- 15 seconds even while the tablet is powering back up. You should see the logo after that. When the Android logo appears; remove and then re-insert the safety pin just as you did before with the power button. Holding both down for 10- 15 seconds again (to get to the blue letters screen). Hope this helps and please post your findings as this would help other viewers. Thanks and don't forget to click like and subscribe.
everyone. for the second step hold the power button first then the reset button. the reboot menu will appear right away
i really appreciate the video you have.. hope you can help me with my MODOEX tablet.. it keeps downloading every time it access the wifi or any internet connection.programs are installed unknowingly and adding up the work of the tablet and hung up after few minutes..then it cycles again reboot and download unwanted programs and hung up.. and so on..
It must be one of you apps that keeps installing those other ones. You can install Avast and do a scan for that app play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.avast.android.mobilesecurity

i hardly use the tab since it uses large traffic of download and hungs up everytime i connect to the internet

ok i did everything as instructed and get to the menu, i try clicknig the reset button to move the higlight bar down to select factory reset but when i click the reset button my tablet just shuts off instead of moving down the highlighted bar. pls help.

Tried your method with the Proscan PLT7777G and it did not work. Could not get to the little Android man despite multiple tries. This tablet has the reset button on the back and I can feel it clicking but no screen change--If I hit the power button alone it goes to the blue screen and no farther. Can you help me??
Try powering off the tablet. Now while it is off... press and hold the reset button; while that is held down... press and hold the power button as well. Hold down both buttons for about 10- 15 seconds (even during the Proscan splash screen). If it was down as descibed, you should see the robot laying on its back. Please reply stating if that helps you out or not. Thank you.
Ey Ola, my nephew forgot the pattern of his tablet but it has no physical buttons apart from the power switch and no pin hole. Any ideas on how to reset it?! thx
Oh yeah.. This video covers how to resolve you issue. Just follow it and take your time... It can take a few tries to get it but watch it carefully and I am sure it will help you.

Hi, I have a Time2 tablet. When I press and hold the reset and power nothing happens. If I release the reset the tablet boots normally.
I have tried this a few times holding both buttons for several minutes.
Does your tablet have physical volume buttons?

To those trying to get to the blue text menu: while you see Android laying on back, press and hold power button, then press paperclip in and release. You'll see the menu.

It sounds like your batter is not getting a full charge. Please try using a different charger and let it sit on it for 10- 15 minutes; then try powering it on. It does not power on after using a different charger, I would then contact the company or manufacturer of the tablet on that issue.
I have. I charge it, and try turning it on then I disconnect the charger from the tablet, then reconnect it. I comes on for about 2 to 3 seconds and then go off.
Sound like you may have a bad battery, charging port, or charger power cord. I would contact the company it was purchased from or the manufacture for further assistance.
