I would turn 19 on the 25th of that year, and by June 8th be inducted into the Army as an Infantryman. My Grandmother adored this show sitting on her gold provincial furniture covered in thick , custom made plastic covers. And console combo with a hidden bar behind slated roller doors. I couldn't wait to get back home, and sit on that couch and tolerate her joy in this program. I'm glad I got the opportunity to spend quality time with her for years after that. I watch these programs on Saturday night, as a tribute to the most loving, giving, person I will ever have met. I will be 74 on March 25th .It is hard to believe so much time, and life, has passed through my hour glass.

Here it is, Saturday 1/23/21, and I'm just in time to see a "Saturday night" Lawrence Welk Show from 1966 when I was just a whippersnapper of 12 years young. Oh the memories on our farm, after cows were milked and supper eaten.......we'd gather for our family weekly dose of Welk and his excellent entertainment! Thanks SO much for sharing this with us!!! ;o)

Thank you! Kathy Lennon is one of my favorites. I've seen this program before but not with Kathy hosting, so it's a wonderful new treat! 🙏😊
