I was looking forward for him coming to Barcelona. I had observed him for years and when he came to Barcelona, i was so happy, because i loved him and i believed he would become a legend. Valverde really destroyed his carreer, but i still hope that he will come back and show how great he is

I think this is one of the most tragic stories of a footballers downfall in recent times. Coutinho was season by season rising through the ranks at Liverpool, around 14/15 he really made it felt how important he was, but he could be inconsistent. 15/16 he was showing flashes of world class ability, that elevated again in 16/17 and by 17/18 I am fully convinced, for those first 4 months, it was the closest the premier league had to Messi. The things he could do with the ball, I had never seen a player for Liverpool do anything like before, 7 goals and 6 assists in 14 games in the league. 5 goals and 2 assists from 5 games in the Champions League. From midfield no less, it was phenomenal, it was magical, it was just breathtaking and so was he.
I hated him when he left, mostly for how he left. Feigning injuries and trying to force his way out, I was sick. I delighted in his struggles initially, but only because for most of my teenage years, he was my favourite player after Suarez left. I felt betrayed and so I wanted him to fail. But when he returned to Villa, seeing the memories in real time again, I wanted him to succeed because I still held out hope for a fairytale return that, in reality, i knew would never come.
I feel the music in this video is so so fitting because it feels nostalgic, it feels sentimental but there is something so sad in it, almost as though we are watching the past from a bookshelf, one might say. Watching what was, and what can never be again.
When you watch a video and you think to yourself those shots looks so simple I could probably make them too, you know you're watching something special. Coutinho makes long range shots look easy and simple... Great player

I watched this with so much emotion😥. Coutinho has been my favorite player since I was in high school and I'm trying to imagine him watching this right now with tears in his eyes... He came to the wrong place at the wrong time. I really don't blame Valverde alone, Coutinho should have listened to Klopp. I can't watch this video again... It hurts😣.

No doubt. Its actually insane how good a shot he’s got from outside the box. Get him on loan, don’t even consider signing an old Willian in his last football years. Such a bad idea imo when we have a lot of quality attackers and Coutinho is more like an attacking midfielder/Number 10 type. Way better than Ceballos to be honest. And 1 or two cb’s and the transfer window is perfect

NEVER DOUBT THIS MAN. Over the past two seasons, he hasn't had the playing time he deserves from injuries and poor coaching management but trust me, anytime he is on that green pitch he WILL make the difference. Everyone doubted him at Bayern and guess what? They took both the Bundesliga and the UCL with him offering some masterclass performances whenever the team needed that magical touch. I am 1000% he will come back at the very top given that he stays at a big club. My only hope is that OM/Everton will not get him and he will find his way out of Barca towards another top club so we can keep enjoying magic at the biggest competitive level.
