The reason why youre part of the game, or why the games feel so incoherent is becuase that you were supposed to ACTUALLY interact with the actors playing the Smiles family! A big part of the story is told through the people you talk to, look at, and be around. The Smile's family is not a complete story without the people behind acting out the story themselves, you included of course. Thats why you were given such a crucial role during the last part of the story.
Which is also something I love about the Smiles Family games, it's basically an interactive story that you can actually play to be in. But of course, it kind of feels empty and not so whole without the actors to play with

The only theory I have is that DE was sent by his kind to destroy earth, while the Smiles siblings were sent by the Gorilla to fight DE and protect earth, while Dan was sent to help the Smiles siblings, we already know that this probably isn't the first fight they had, and that both parties fought, but never had a way to permanently remove the other, I have an assumption that the Smiles siblings kept reincarnating and kept stopping DE for at least millions of years, until eventually, YOU visited Hallam island to investigate, and well the rest is history.

Idk its a nutshell man, So now Lloyd and Roy are both working under this figure. OKAY SO (wow lore very much) The figure is Diamond Eyes (also called OcuAda in the wiki idk why) an alien who crashed into earth long ago. She likes to make deals with people to get them to be her minion. (9:47 I think this refers to Diamond Eyes) Now the Smiles family moves in. Robert (Father) Seth (Son, red) Clair (Daughter, blue) Matthew (Son, yellow) Leo (Son, DEAD) Nancy (Mother, ALSO DEAD) Leo and Nancy died of a car crash (3:04) Im not sure what the ritual is, but the wiki says it differently, where Robert makes a deal with Roy to bring back Leo and Nancy. (Okay more research later, in flamingo's smiles family video, there is one point where Robert says something along the lines of 'calling off the deal', saying that he wouldn't kill a man. I guess this man was suppose to be the sacrifice.) This also causes him to basically go haywire and get possessed, blacking out and waking up again to grab an axe and try to kill the three children. He snaps out of it, tells the kids to run, then slices open his head with the axe (in front of the children). Now, the boiler at this time decided to get a little funky and all the kids evacuate to watch the house burn down. Out of nowhere, another man comes along. DanStickman, an old friend of Robert who decides to take the kids in. (9:33) Funny thing I'm going to add in. Seth, Clair, and Matthew are not actually Nancy's children. They just woke up with them one day. The house was old, and the house once held a party, which everyone ended up dying due to a gas leak. The gas leak was caused by Lloyd Joe who was promised the resurrection of his brother (I think) if he killed everyone. I think he was then controlled by a creature called diamond eyes. Diamond eyes then used Roy Joe and Lloyd Joe as skin suits for her children (I think). Robert becomes one of them after taking his life so that he wouldn’t kill his children during a confrontation. The house burned down after the boiler exploded. Dan comes along, and takes Matthew, Seth, and Claire to his diner. Claire is a clairvoyant, and predicts many things and sayings which needed some decoding. Lloyd Joe is there for some reason. The three children find something underneath the diner which Dan hid from them. Flamingo made a deal with diamond eyes in exchange for his online girlfriend from many years ago 💀 that he gives the children to Diamond Eyes. The three children get kidnapped by Diamond Eye. In the last video made of them, they manage to kill all the skin suits aka Robert, Roy, and Lloyd. They finally made it to Diamond Eyes, who swiftly kills Dan, then traps the three kids in a wand thingy idk. Diamond Eyes possesses Flamingo which he refuses, freeing the children. Matthew dies after pushing Flamingo out of the way from a falling pillar. Seth uses the last bullet from a gun on a hallucination of his parents. Seth and Claire get stuck underneath boulders, and Diamond Eyes tries to control Flamingo AGAIN, but a gorilla prevents it 😭 that ends with Diamond Eyes falling into a pit and dying. You’re involved because you made a deal with her, but basically Flamingo made it.
You missed some of the backstory, When you go into the basement, In the version of the house that burnt down, If you go into the wall where the portal was In the original game, you will clip through the wall and a cutscene will start. Oh, and If you go back to the original household there are news clippings on the floor that tell you why there are so many graves in Cemetery Island

i was hoping the video named “Going Back To Where It All Began…” would be him going back to his roots of running from nextbots which is what got his channel so far. If you go back to his channel roots and find his 164 sub special, you can see that he made 4 nextbot videos and those EXPLODED his channel, getting him 5k in such a short period. from what i know the two boys (seth and mathew) and the girl ( clara ) are robert and nanas kids, though on day the boiler in the basment explodes and burns down the house, though robert and nana burn with it. the butler named loid also died in the fire, thats why you might see his ghost around in a mask. going back a little bit robert (the dad) and his sibling(s) got into a car crash, robert was the only one to survive. you are someone whos doing reasearch on the car crash, though while your there the boiler blows up (you also manage to escape) many years later you, seth, mathew, and clara go to re-explore the burnt down house to find the portal. ect, ect, ect though you did solve most of the stuff at the end. though all of this isnt 100% correct its been like 3yrs since i heard of this myth so my info might be dated.

If you want to play a puzzle game that's kinda like the first game but much more easier and with like some cutscenes from the last game (really like 1 at the end of the game) you should try Alila's Garden. The puzzles are relatively hard but if you get stuck theres hints. Me and my friend had a good hour of fun figuring the game out and we really really liked it and can't really find another game like it.

from what i know the two boys (seth and mathew) and the girl ( clara ) are robert and nanas kids, though on day the boiler in the basment explodes and burns down the house, though robert and nana burn with it. the butler named loid also died in the fire, thats why you might see his ghost around in a mask. going back a little bit robert (the dad) and his sibling(s) got into a car crash, robert was the only one to survive. you are someone whos doing reasearch on the car crash, though while your there the boiler blows up (you also manage to escape) many years later you, seth, mathew, and clara go to re-explore the burnt down house to find the portal. ect, ect, ect though you did solve most of the stuff at the end. though all of this isnt 100% correct its been like 3yrs since i heard of this myth so my info might be dated.

If you want to play a puzzle game that's kinda like the first game but much more easier and with like some cutscenes from the last game (really like 1 at the end of the game) you should try Alila's Garden. The puzzles are relatively hard but if you get stuck theres hints. Me and my friend had a good hour of fun figuring the game out and we really really liked it and can't really find another game like it.
