- The plaintiff and defendant were best friends growing up, but they had a big falling out. The plaintiff loaned the defendant money to help pay his house taxes. She hasn’t been paid back, so she’s suing for the unpaid loan and emotional distress. The defendant thinks the plaintiff is suing prematurely.

I once had a first date only with a woman exactly like her. The date started with her giving me her educational background, the organizations she belonged to, the people she knew, the zip code she lived in, the architect who designed her house, the country club she's a member of, the places she's traveled...then she found a reason to go into her purse and pull out her key ring and then put the keys on the table so that I could see the Mercedes fob. Then she took off her jacket so that I could see the Gucci label. Of course, she just had to mention that her hair stylist is the stylist for many local celebrities. There's an old saying "men make money, money doesn't make men". It surely applies to women as well. Until Emicko comes back down to earth, she will always be in short term relationships.

@@bhornannawindeedeigh5007 Thanks. Yeah, wanting to be a gentleman, I sat through about an hour of her bragging, boasting, vaunting, humble-bragging, and name dropping. Up until that point, I never realized how superficial, narcissistic, and shallow some people can be.
@Criminal.Lawyer.2024 I'll never understand narcissists. And I was married to two of them. 😂 The first lasted 11 years - my college years and through my first teaching assignment. My second marriage lasted 30 years... he became more narcissistic and controlling as the years went by. And I was the one who worked full-time (I was a high school teacher, so I took a lot of work home) plus did most of the raising of my two boys. Finally four years later after my 2nd hubster divorced me, I've come to the realization that I'm better off w/o all the bullshit ego traps. It took me a few decades, but I finally get it. Some men have serious issues with not being able to control the reins 100%. It's got to be give and take. C'est la vie. The best thing is that I have two marvelous, sweet sons who love and appreciate me. They are worth whatever difficulties I went through. I'm not saying I was perfect - far from it. But I'm a good mom; and I was a great wifey, too. I just wasn't "good enough" for my exes... and that's ok.
When you least expect it, @Criminal.Lawyer.2024, you'll have good times with a person who isn't all caught up in her appearance and huge ego; someone who's human and who appreciates people, not purses, jewelry, and "popular folk". That date lost out... not you.

The standard for these types of cases is a “reasonable amount of time” to repay. That’s exactly why statutes of limitations exist. Had she actually waited 10 years, then he would have said “statute of limitations expired”. She runs a good game and good talk. I would too if I were lending out $3k 🤷♀️ lol
