I believe that the "unfortunate truth" that the overlord encountered was that he was eventually halted by the truth he was part of the game, hence the hint of fourth wall knowledge in his introduction speech before wave 50, which could explain why he would want to end all life as he it wouldn't matter anyways. As for the overlord not being corrupted, he may have come across a text of knowledge that could allow him to resist the failsafe of the truth.
Sorry for necropost but I also heard a theory that his Crown is the reason he can resist the failsafe, which is why he always wears it. I also heard another theory that the Truth is actually a cosmic power and the Overlord is the failsafe, the one who eyeifies those who learn the Truth, so that they can’t exploit its power and reach his level.

The whole ranked lore: (I think) Cysian master is actaully volt master and he fell into lava while he fought something (I think) Exiled Overseer was a member of the X-Faction and was exiled to an Exo-Planet for a century. He has grown weaker but he still holds a pretty tough challenge The robotic guards are the avant guards but dead and revived as a robot The True Vanguard is the true form of vanguard who is majorly stronger than the real vanguard Kugelblitz overseer is the leader of the kugelblitz faction and his health has the same HP as arch angel with a 20K HP shield grand eye of the seer is either a eye who watches everywhere and came to this planet to try destroy it or a true form of corruption. Yeah they probabily have cloning machines but not that advanced to get the same things as the original because the vanguard is weaker than true vanguard

or maybe the cloning technology by the defender was better than the invader so they decide to invade because thier cloning tech was more slower to clone things

I am sad to say this but I have retired from Roblox for a reason, The Cube Defense Halloween 2021 Event, I did all the torture of trying to get all of the wisps and fight the final level and fail then look to see if anyone else has done this, only to see the "rewards" were useless skins, I am not having that and that's why I left Cube Defense first, Goodbye Jengle.
i understand the whole lore but my only frustration is about the civil war, did they fought themselves (i mean if it was a civil war then it would be war on themselves, right?) or the x faction?

its not from the invader it's from the isc, its a spaceship for excavation that is hijacked and modified to be suitable for battles

I think the invaders DID have cloning technology as evidenced by the True Vanguard but they may not have had stuff like guns (idk about raygunner)

also the overlord basically knows most stuff about this game the infinite cycle etc hes trying to kill all life to stop the cycle i dont think thats how you would stop a cycle though

The invaders could not have gone to war for cloning technology. In ranked up expert, theres the True Vanguard. The description for it mentions that the vanguard in normal expert was a clone.
or maybe the cloning technology by the defender was better than the invader so they decide to invade because thier cloning tech was more slower to clone things
@@flop69419 nah i think it was because defender cloning was 1 to 1 but the x faction cloning tech made the clone worse then the original like vanguard and true vanguard

I am sad to say this but I have retired from Roblox for a reason, The Cube Defense Halloween 2021 Event, I did all the torture of trying to get all of the wisps and fight the final level and fail then look to see if anyone else has done this, only to see the "rewards" were useless skins, I am not having that and that's why I left Cube Defense first, Goodbye Jengle.
