Just found out about these spools. They are great for people in the US market that want a shallow spool but mostly have deep spools available.
Thanks for sharing.
SLP Works is DAIWA's tuning departament. It makes upgraded parts for daiwa reels.
Thanks for the info! 👌
Hi. The SLP has a different brake. There are 3 discs in the original Fuego LT 2500 spool. There is only 1 in the spool from Ali. Hence the difference in weight. But probably also in the quality of the brake.
Hi,
You can take a weight of the SLP and original and you will see that weights are different. In any case, for example Fuego 2000 original spool has only one felt washer as well and the drag works great; actually much better than Fuego 2500 out of the box..
@@AndrewsKnots I need to order new disks and lubricants. Recently I went perch with Daiwa Ninja 1500 and got 95cm salmon. The brake was almost smoking! I didn't have a landing net and with one foot I jumped into the river 😂But I pulled it out.
I bought that one for my Fuego LT 3000 and i change the washers with carbon ones and i can say that the spool performance is great and is a way more cheap then the original one.
Here you go! 💣
I switched parts from my regal LT including the stool support and bearings to the Legalis. The SLP Daiwa spool black regal makes the legalis all black except foe ever so narrow gold circles.
Agree, these spools transform the looks of the reel!
Very nice video! Daiwa actually released new Fuego 2020 version this year, that are 5g lighter than previous model, because of Zion V body. So you pretty much get the same weight as with this spool. But still with cheaper models you will save plenty of weight! 👍
Very true 👌
I would guess that 20 Fuego will take these SLP spools as well..
Hi, nice spool with low cost. Do you know the size of the bearing where it fits?
No.
Andrew i have a daiwa ninja xt 5000c reel. Its a lot smaller than I thought it would be being a 5000 series. Do you think this reel could be used for barbel fishing or is it too small?
I would think it will be one of the LT versions which are much smaller. Say 6000 LT is about similar size as older Daiwa 4012.
So, yes, on a smallish side.
Thanks for the reply Andrew. Yes you are right. It is ninja 5000C LT. If this reel is too small for barbel fishing what would it be ideal for? I thought being able to hold 150 metres of 0.37mm line it would be a lot bigger.
can my 3000chx using 4000 spool? hope you reply sir
Don't get the question.
hy bro, have u been experience the line lay in the middle is curveing?is there any sloution?
No. Likely faulty unit.
Did you get less line with the SLP works spool?
Yes, most regular LT reels come with deep spools.
No BLK spools left for the 2000 Size Fuego LT, Silver ones don't fit Fuego 😢
Yeah, seems all the sellers are out of smaller ones at the moment. Hope they will stock up soon!
New info. I been told black 1000/2000 will be back in stock in a month..
How to know my daiwa reel using type A or type B
Watch video once more..
Price is ok, but the "black" is more like bronze and looks cheap, mismatched and ugly to me. Still, if it encourages Daiwa to drop the ludicrous price of their spare spools it's a good thing. Thanks for the vid.
Fair enough. They are "black enough" for me. Shimano spools are even more expensive, if I remember correctly.
None of the links work
Fixed. Check now. Thank you.
These look great. These are not genuine SLP works spools though (who cares tho?) - the price is too low. Japanese custom parts are ridiculously overpriced, the cheapest slp works spools are about the same price as a whole legalis or exceller reel - they don't even bother making such parts for their cheaper reels. Not total knockoffs, however, more Daiwa inspired with knockoff branding. Imo these are a lot classier than the old legalis and exceller spool (new improved 2020 versions have very similar style spools to these).
I couldn't find anywhere else these "beta" spools, so, I wouldn't think "cheaper means fake". It just might be a product released by SLP Works for China's market..
@@AndrewsKnots I've never seen an original legalis lt spool for less than $20 on aliexpress, it doesn't make sense selling these better spools for a lot less. SLP are a subsidiary of Daiwa and a JDM operation, they also do the reel daiwa servicing and are suppliers of all diawa reel spare parts in Japan. I've never seen them operating or designing anything for outside that country. Daiwa have a Chinese website, never seen SLP mentioned.
@@piscamaniac ok, not place to argue as I don't know the truth as don't you. As mentioned in the video, I don't really care whether it was/wasn't made in specific SLP factory if quality features are comparable.
@@piscamaniac you are 100% correct. My slp works spool for my exist was over 150$ for the spool. Everything thats actually made by slp works is expensive. And nobody in their right mind puts true slp works stuff on 70$ reels
Daiwa???
5 gram i couldn't be bothered,para
Fair enough. For me it's a no brainer, if I need a spare spool.. I would get spare one cheaper, lighter, sexier and shallower..
@@AndrewsKnots i have spacer blocks for all of my reels i can alter the depth of the spool in a second from deep to very shallow 60 metres best thing i ever bought there brilliant spacer blocks when ever i buy a new reel i always buy a spare spool, para
Andrew see Aliexpress now charge every order with VAT TAX
What spacer blocks you have in mind? To my knowledge only Shimano did them..
Yes, correct VAT is being added since 01/01/2021.
