Great song about my town, and now you can go back to Acuña again, the new wave of bars, resraurants are opening in the old hidalgo street, all that is left of the old days are Manuels Restaurant and Corona Club, so come back and play this tune all the way here!
love to both cities Acuña, Coahuila and Del Río Texas my border cities love them for life lived hella moments growing up down there now I’m 27 years old and I have my family up here in Minnesota but i miss my cities
I once saw Billy Joe Shaver and Robert Earl Keen at the Corona Club in Acuna after dinner at Crosby’s Bar one night. I figure it’s as close as I’ll ever come to a religious experience. It’s a real shame that no one goes to Acuna anymore. I had many a wild nights in that wonderful town. We won’t tell stories about “charging up the hill” though.
Hell yeah, another great tune, might have to put that one in my set list once you release it. Thanks for sharing. I really dig that stripped down full band sound with just the snare and symbols too......and that dobro, killer
I just opened up for your brother in law Cody at Charlie B's and had a great time talking about you. I'm seriously your biggest fan, and one day I hope to open for you guys. God bless you Wade Bowen and band
Have to say I heard the other version of this song and liked it but this one knocked it out of the park. Awesome music thank you for staying country & keeping it TEXAS.
key words being "if radio got their heads out of their asses." That's a big if, a tall order, and I don't see it happening anytime soon. It would also require that the dunderheads who listen to mainstream radio got their heads out of their asses, as well, and that's an even taller order.
Really liking the new song, but "a little bit different sounding" makes me nervous. Hopefully it just means more slide guitar on the new album and doesn't stray too far from what we all know and love.

My top red dirt TEXAS ARTIST WB4LIFE!
Sounds kinda like That Summer, which means that if radio got their heads out of their asses, this song would be a radio masterpiece.
