I was having the same problem described in this video and tried troubleshooting with excellent results. This video saved me from having to tow my car to the shop and the big expense that comes from a mechanic shop. I only spent about $90 Dollars on a new ignition coil and spark plugs. Thank you for your detailed video.
They can go out at any time I just changed 2 in November, went to pick my granny up and now a third one went out, I’m gonna change the last 2 and be done
Thanks so much for this video. My 07 Acura TSX had the identical problem with code P0303 (Cylinder 3 Misfire). I followed your video tutorial to diagnose and it was the same faulty ignition coil at the same position. I rushed to a local Napa Auto Parts store and luckily they had one Echlin replacement. After replacing the ignition coil and reset the emission error code, my TSX went back to normal. It was shaking like crazy before the repair.
Thank you! My son's 2009 Acura TSX was doing the same thing, this was the first video I watched and I followed the diagnosis steps to confirm, got the part and easily replaced. Running great now! Great video, thanks again!
Will there always be a code? I have a 04 TSX automatic and it is idling around 500-600 rpm in drive with a slight shudder on the verge of dying but it never does. Acceleration is fine and everything.
I feel like Mine is burning more gas then I think it’s supposed to no check engine light but I can start going about 80 MPH and my Dash will say 184 2 mins later it’s gone down 30 miles to 154 any idea what it can be ?
@@keep_it_low_bro yeah I figured it out, since my uncle owned the car before me, he told me it was just vtec kicking in only and that the parts for the vtec areas needed to be replaced. And I take premium and I went to a citgo gas station and their gas claims to clean emissions, valves and something else and it has proven to work
I just fixed my 07 TSX with the same problem. It was still drivable but I would not recommend. I could not go beyond 60 MPH and the idling vibration was serious. This was an easy fix if you have an identical problem.
Brother, you just saved me perhaps $350-$450 at the shop and only spent $60 on one bad coil!! You are the man!!! Great video! Thank you so much

Had the same issue. Saved me a shit load of money on my Acura 2011 TSX. Thank you so much
Thank you for this video!!
I just left the acura dealership and now my emission light is on. I am really pissed right now

Technically that’s coil # 3, great video and clear explanation.... this can save you hundreds in diagnostics and repair!

What did you need the echlin replacement for ??
@@renetoobeast5244 The Echlin replacement is the Bosch aftermarket brand for my spark plug ignitor.
Excellent troubleshooting without complex diagnosing equipment.

Can I drive like this?
Thank you for this video. I had the same issue and you saved me couple hundred dollars 💵
Thank you!
Saved me a trip to the shop 🙏
Mine doesn't vibrate at higher speeds or I don't have any emissions light on it just vibrates when I'm at a stop more when my ac is on?
Thank you so much for this video I had the same problem. Save me a lot of money.
Such a helpful video!!! Thanks for uploading!
Well explained!!!
Does this work with a P0171 code on a 2007 Acura tsx 2.4l?
Hey idk if u remember still or not but question , once one went out n u replaced it , did the other ignition coils start going out on you too?

What if i disconnect the ignition coils and the idle dosent drop?? It keeps misfiring on me and on cold starts it idles rough
Well did it work?..

Spark plugs are known to lower your mpg when they’re old
This was the ignition right? My 2005 acura tsx has the emission engine light on. Any tip on how to check the emission system ?
Did you figure out the issue with that light? Mine just came on so I came to YT
I put my ac on for 3 mins and that danger light appeared

@@keep_it_low_bro Something might be wrong with your wiring system or the computer chips aren't properly functioning
The dreaded check emission system light. It gave me a scare when the light popped up on the highway.
If is not the coils and hoses ..wath elles can it be?😪
Possibly a bad rack n pinion or bad suspension, possibly a wheel axle issue with ball joint
thank you for the video
Very helpful
Thanks you save me
Alex Mason he suposted to change coil 2 no 3
Video was so helpful, but mien sadly wasn’t the problem. The light did go off but it still read the code P2138. Trying to figure it out now 😅
thankyou
i think this just happened in my 08 tsx. i was just about to go to the store, will it be ok to drive on it for a day?

Thanks a lot buddy
