VVDI PAD does BMW, Benz and VAG group better than Autel, it can also control key cutter and program remotes. Autel have slightly better coverage on Renault, Volvo and Opel/Vauxhall. Key Tool Plus has no subscription and free update but will pay for newer functions like mqb and bmw motorcycles - only buy if you need. IM508 usually gets 2 year subscription. Autel UI is better - xhorse is easier and doesn’t need a separate xp400/xp400 pro for simple eeprom and mcu work. key tool plus pad is better at mqb and let’s you clone original IDs which Autel won’t do. Xhorse also has solder free adapters for BCM CEM etc while Autel does not. No one is better than the other. You need two devices, if one doesn’t work the other will work. Both combined will cover 98% of the market.
