I don’t understand, what happened after you got 200 health? You got set back to 10? Also, you didn’t complete the game so how did you activate bolt multiplier? Edit: Nice run either way, great job!
It’s a PS3 exclusive glitch called Quit Exploit or QE for short. It’s really complicated but in summary, when you pause and select “quit game” it messes up some of the memory which causes it to write the save file information to the wrong place when the game is auto saving. And we can actually control where it writes it with our bolt count; different bolt counts will have different effects. In this run I get 1,310,720 bolts which has the effect of copying the file time to the challenge mode value, the current planet ID to the current nanotech XP (this resets the health back to 10) and the file time to the current weapon XP economy value (this makes weapons level up really fast). And this updates every time the game auto saves. So I setup QE at 2:01:00 then auto save twice to write the file time (the total number of frames played on this current file) to the challenge mode counter, and this puts the save in NG+
So complicated, thanks for the very detailed explanation, I’ve played this game my whole childhood its interesting to see the levels this game has to it. Appreciate the response
I remember that as a kid spending a week to find all the crystals in aquatos and watching you go thru the whole thing just knowing each position(by hard i guess) left me speachless
