I agree. Since you listened to Cakra Khan's version, try Angelina's. It was recorded from the audience on a phone, so the recording quality is not great, but I compare it to a unicorn sighting. You're "lost in the wilderness" when you see a unicorn. So you get some video, but no one believes it because unicorns don't exist. Except they do, and Angelina is one.

Anyway, she is called "girl with 1000 voices" This song here was a tribute, but when she did "Bohemian Rapsody" for America's Got Talent Champions she made it her own in such a good way, that Queen themselves linked it to their twitter account. Angelina is Norwegian, her full name is Angelina Jordan Astar. Her father is Swedish, her mother is Norwegian from a Japanese father and Iranian Mother Mery Zamani who is a poet and a painter and was a child prodigy in her own rights. She started singing at the age of one and a half when she fell in love with Whitney Houston’s version of “I Will Always Love You”. A year later she discovered Jazz through her grandmother and showed lot of interest in artists like Billie Holiday, Ella Fitzgerald, Dinah Washington, and Louis Armstrong. Angelina pestered her mother to enter her in “Simons Show” as she called it from the age of 3. Her mother relented and entered her in Norway Got Talent at the age of 7 where she auditioned with Billie Holiday’s Gloomy Sunday. She went ahead to win the the big prize at the finals where she received 46% of the votes while the remaining 9 finalists combined received 54%. Angelina said she likes singing because she wants to bring joy and love to the whole world. One of her dreams from a very young age was to sing at the Nobel Peace Prize concert. She accomplished that at the age of 8 singing Louis Armstrong’s What a Wonderful World. After winning NGT, she was flooded with offers from major music labels as well as Disney but they were all turned down by her and her family in order for her to continue her education and to protect her artistic integrity. Her uncle/manager in an interview talked about music labels top executives who would fly to Norway on private jets with huge contracts offers but would leave mad and frustrated because they never expected being turned down. Angelina is fluent in Norwegian as well as in English. She also speaks some Swedish which is very close to Norwegian and probably learned it from her father. She also speaks Farsi which she learned from her grandmother as well as some Japanese that she picked up from her grandfather as well as her mom and uncle who lived for a period of time in Japan. She actually performed a Japanese song at a concert in Japan. Most of her performances after NGT were for charitable children organizations where she helped to raise millions. At the age of 6 and while travelling in another country with her family, she came across a young orphaned shoeless girl who was weighing people on a bathroom scale for some coins in order to support herself and her siblings. After chatting with her for a while and without prompting from her family, she gave her shoes to the orphan girl. She recorded that incident in her diary and vowed to always sing barefoot when doing that in public to remember that girl and to remind herself and us about the many needy children around the world. At the age of 9 she wrote and published a book about that encounter making her Norway’s youngest published author. Proceeds from that book are donated to children charities. Angelina's voice is like a river of dark chocolate, sometimes wild and crashing over rocks in impressive cascades, sometimes flowing, twisting and twirling, and sometimes slowly and drowsly moving through the backwaters, but always deliciously tasty. She always sing like she feel and really mean the lyrics. As for suggestions, maybe her cover of Billie Jean. It was the first time I really listened to the text (English is not my native language, so that might be part of the reason).

Angelina never appears nervous when performing, whether on camera before an audience of one (the viewer) or on stage before thousands, with just a backing track or backed by a national orchestra, from the age of 7 to the present (just turned 16). She has covered many of the greats from jazz, blues, soul, pop, rock, and country (140+ are available for viewing) and has several original performances. She speaks at least 3 languages. She has helped raise millions of dollars for charities around the world, mostly aimed at children, performed at the Nobel Prize ceremonies and for heads of State, won Norway's Got Talent and landed a deal with Republic Records that gives her an extraordinary amount of control over her creativity (She has always arranged her own music). Oh, and she is a published author. There are a handful of people whose list of achievements boggle the mind. Angelina is right near the top of that list.

She is 13 in this performance and she has improved enormously now that she is 16. hi there - like other comments say Angelinas family is very protective and as i concur want to let her have a quite normal childhood and education - since she won norways got Talent many companies have had showing up with big money boxes and where all turned down including Disney - with Crowdfunding she could released her first CD "Its Magic" i belive in 2014 - After Agt in 2020 she signed with Republic records as their highest priority Artist with complete Control over her Art but until she graduates school no Promotion - she has released 2 Originals since then "Million Miles" and "Seventh Heaven". Angelina as talented as she is, is an even better human being, humble and filled with empathy. Please take the time to read the biography I compiled for her. Born Angelina Jordan Astar on January 10, 2006 in Oslo, Norway to her Norwegian mother, Sara Astar and her Swedish father, Gerry Christian Slattman. Angelina started singing around 18 months of age after listening to Whitney Houston on RUclips. She quickly became obsessed with listening to music videos and her maternal grandmother, Mery Zamani got Angelina interested in classic jazz. Mery Zamani is Iranian and was considered a prodigy as an artist and poet and married a Japanese man who passed away in 2019. Angelina speaks Norwegian, Farsi, English, Japanese and Swedish. Angelina attended the Oslo Waldorf School and participated in the Oslo School of Music and Performing Arts after-school program, where starting around age 4, she had training in music but no vocal training. Angelina had turned 8 years old for her next performance on NGT, covering Billie Holiday’s “I’m a Fool to Want You” singing acapella which was required by NGT unless the singer also played an instrument while singing. I agree. Since you listened to Cakra Khan's version, try Angelina's. It was recorded from the audience on a phone, so the recording quality is not great, but I compare it to a unicorn sighting. You're "lost in the wilderness" when you see a unicorn. So you get some video, but no one believes it because unicorns don't exist. Except they do, and Angelina is one.

Why does Angelina sing barefoot?
When she was 6 years old, she was in the Middle East with her mom and grandmother and they came across a young orphan girl with no shoes and scarred feet. Angelina gave the girl her own shoes and promised she would never again wear shoes while performing until all children of the world had shoes! At age 9 she wrote a book about this experience, Between two Hearts, becoming the youngest ever published author in Norway. She also has helped raise millions for children's charities. She is a special individual, and one you cannot follow without developing an emotional bond.
Angelina penetrates hearts because she is humble and has compassion for humanity. Her stated goal from childhood was to sing for the world and spread love and peace. Here is an introduction to Angelina for you and your viewers who might not be familiar with her.
Angelina is Norwegian, her full name is Angelina Jordan Astar. Her father is Swedish, her mother is Norwegian from a Japanese father and Iranian Mother Mery Zamani who is a poet and a painter and was a child prodigy in her own rights. She started singing at the age of one and a half when she fell in love with Whitney Houston’s version of “I Will Always Love You”. A year later she discovered Jazz through her grandmother and showed lot of interest in artists like Billie Holiday, Ella Fitzgerald, Dinah Washington, and Louis Armstrong.
Angelina pestered her mother to enter her in “Simons Show” as she called it from the age of 3. Her mother relented and entered her in Norway Got Talent at the age of 7 where she auditioned with Billie Holiday’s Gloomy Sunday. She went ahead to win the the big prize at the finals where she received 46% of the votes while the remaining 9 finalists combined received 54%. Angelina said she likes singing because she wants to bring joy and love to the whole world. One of her dreams from a very young age was to sing at the Nobel Peace Prize concert. She accomplished that at the age of 8 singing Louis Armstrong’s What a Wonderful World.
After winning NGT, she was flooded with offers from major music labels as well as Disney but they were all turned down by her and her family in order for her to continue her education and to protect her artistic integrity. Her uncle/manager in an interview talked about music labels top executives who would fly to Norway on private jets with huge contracts offers but would leave mad and frustrated because they never expected being turned down.
Angelina is fluent in Norwegian as well as in English. She also speaks some Swedish which is very close to Norwegian and probably learned it from her father. She also speaks Farsi which she learned from her grandmother as well as some Japanese that she picked up from her grandfather as well as her mom and uncle who lived for a period of time in Japan. She actually performed a Japanese song at a concert in Japan.
Most of her performances after NGT were for charitable children organizations where she helped to raise millions.
At the age of 6 and while travelling in another country with her family, she came across a young orphaned shoeless girl who was weighing people on a bathroom scale for some coins in order to support herself and her siblings. After chatting with her for a while and without prompting from her family, she gave her shoes to the orphan girl. She recorded that incident in her diary and vowed to always sing barefoot when doing that in public to remember that girl and to remind herself and us about the many needy children around the world. At the age of 9 she wrote and published a book about that encounter making her Norway’s youngest published author. Proceeds from that book are donated to children charities.
Angelina Jordan has about 160 songs in her repertoire. In 2020 she signed with Republic Records as their highest priority new artist. Her versatility is unmatched. Angelina's voice is like a river of dark chocolate, sometimes wild and crashing over rocks in impressive cascades, sometimes flowing, twisting and twirling, and sometimes slowly and drowsly moving through the backwaters, but always deliciously tasty. She always sing like she feel and really mean the lyrics. As for suggestions, maybe her cover of Billie Jean. It was the first time I really listened to the text (English is not my native language, so that might be part of the reason).

Interesting choice as an introduction to Angelina Jordan. Many people, including myself, got their first view of Angelina on America's Got Talent (AGT) - Champions, broadcast January 2020. She was 13 years old at the time her audition was recorded. Knocked me out of my chair. Suggesting that for your next Angelina reaction. Angelina's roots are jazz. Angelina never appears nervous when performing, whether on camera before an audience of one (the viewer) or on stage before thousands, with just a backing track or backed by a national orchestra, from the age of 7 to the present (just turned 16). She has covered many of the greats from jazz, blues, soul, pop, rock, and country (140+ are available for viewing) and has several original performances. She speaks at least 3 languages. She has helped raise millions of dollars for charities around the world, mostly aimed at children, performed at the Nobel Prize ceremonies and for heads of State, won Norway's Got Talent and landed a deal with Republic Records that gives her an extraordinary amount of control over her creativity (She has always arranged her own music). Oh, and she is a published author.

Angelina is fearless, she covers nothing but the best artists of all time. This rock cover was a deviation from her characteristic vocal style of jazz. She is 13 in this performance and she has improved enormously now that she is 16. Her latest cover of "My Funny Valentine," demonstrates that her skills are starting to eclipse many of the great singers who have been her influences. In this song she plays around with the texture in her voice in a way I don't have words to describe; it simply must be heard.

hi there - like other comments say Angelinas family is very protective and as i concur want to let her have a quite normal childhood and education - since she won norways got Talent many companies have had showing up with big money boxes and where all turned down including Disney - with Crowdfunding she could released her first CD "Its Magic" i belive in 2014 - After Agt in 2020 she signed with Republic records as their highest priority Artist with complete Control over her Art but until she graduates school no Promotion - she has released 2 Originals since then "Million Miles" and "Seventh Heaven". At age 6, while traveling in the Middle East with her mother and grandmother, Angelina noticed a girl around her age standing on the side of the road asking people to step on her bathroom scale to be weighed in hopes of getting some money. Angelina took off her shoes so as to not get the scale dirty and stepped on the scale many times to make the girl feel better. Angelina befriends the girl who was not wearing shoes and has scars on her feet, and learns she is an orphan. The orphan girl tells Angelina how beautiful she thinks her shoes are. Angelina says her shoes don’t fit her well and she wants to give her shoes to the orphan girl who thanks Angelina for giving her the shoes. Angelina asked the girl what she wanted to be when she grew up and the girl replied, “I want to become a doctor, but that will never happen since I have no parents and I have siblings so I have to do whatever is necessary for us to survive.” Angelina told the girl to never give up on her dreams. The poor girl asked Angelina what she wanted to be when she grew up and Angelina replied that she wanted to sing for the whole world. The poor girl said she would pray every day so Angelina’s dream would come true. Interesting choice of song for your first reaction by the current Queen of Jazz, although Angelina Jordan has sung in at least 9 genres. Angelina as talented as she is, is an even better human being, humble and filled with empathy. Please take the time to read the biography I compiled for her.
Born Angelina Jordan Astar on January 10, 2006 in Oslo, Norway to her Norwegian mother, Sara Astar and her Swedish father, Gerry Christian Slattman.
Angelina started singing around 18 months of age after listening to Whitney Houston on RUclips. She quickly became obsessed with listening to music videos and her maternal grandmother, Mery Zamani got Angelina interested in classic jazz. Mery Zamani is Iranian and was considered a prodigy as an artist and poet and married a Japanese man who passed away in 2019.
Angelina speaks Norwegian, Farsi, English, Japanese and Swedish.
Angelina attended the Oslo Waldorf School and participated in the Oslo School of Music and Performing Arts after-school program, where starting around age 4, she had training in music but no vocal training. Her teachers were smart enough to not attempt to change what she was doing vocally. Angelina plays the piano, violin, guitar and flute and also paints. More recently she along with her grandmother have designed and made the clothing she wears on stage.

Angelina at age 6 and 7 did record a few songs in a recording studio, most notably “I Who Have Nothing”, a truly remarkable performance for a 6 or 7 year old.
Angelina is blessed with a deep voice with a beautiful rich tone and has always made her sound much older than her age. Many compare her voice to that of Amy Winehouse. Her voice is highly emotional which is very rare for a young girl and some people can’t accept that such a soulful voice can come from someone who has not had enough life experience. One vocal coach on RUclips recently said, “If you have a song and want to have more emotion added to that song, have Angelina sing it.”
At age 7, Angelina’s audition on NGT was a cover of Billie Holiday’s “Gloomy Sunday”, a song which was banned by a number of European countries during World War II because authorities worried the song would increase the suicide rate. Truly bizarre that this is the song to launch the career of a child musical prodigy. One of the judges on NGT cried.
Angelina had turned 8 years old for her next performance on NGT, covering Billie Holiday’s “I’m a Fool to Want You” singing acapella which was required by NGT unless the singer also played an instrument while singing. This was the Judge’s cut round of the competition and was not performed in front of an audience.
In the Semi Final round of NGT, Angelina sang “Bang Bang” which was written by Sonny Bono and was first performed by his wife Cher but is best known sung by Nancy Sinatra. The improvement in each performance is incredible even though there were only a couple months between them.
In the Finals, Angelina did a cover of George Gershwin’s, “Summertime” and won the contest, capturing 46% of the votes from the ten finalists.
Angelina had become a star in her native Norway and her videos on RUclips went viral. She gave a few concerts during the summer of 2014 while 8 years old.
On June 27, 2018 Jordan performed “Fly Me to the Moon” for Quincy Jones in The O2 Arena in London.
Angelina performed on America’s Got Talent The Champions which aired in January 2020. She earned the Golden Buzzer for her performance of her unique arrangement of Queen’s Bohemian Rhapsody. She sang her cover of Goodbye Yellow Brick Road in the Finals but didn’t make it into the final 5 contestants. There is much debate over how and why Angelina was eliminated.
By age 14, Angelina had covered more than 130 songs from 80 different artists, all of which are available on RUclips. Angelina has always made changes to each song she covers and often her version is preferred over the original. In August 2020, her manager and uncle Michael Astar announced Angelina has signed with Republic Records as their highest priority new artist. Her 2nd single, 7th Heaven is a jazzy, upbeat, inspirational song and was also written by Angelina. Angelina’s family requested Republic Records to allow her to have as normal a childhood as possible. This is why Republic Records has not promoted her first two singles.
Angelina Jordan is a humble, compassionate young lady of very few words when she is not singing. She is on videos saying she wants to sing for the entire world and also that she wants to improve the quality of life for all the children on Earth. She has helped to raise millions of dollars for children’s charities and environmental causes.
Musicians who have worked with her have been quoted saying Angelina is among the most talented musicians they have worked with and she is the boss in the room when rehearsing. Remarkable for a girl of few words when not singing. For Angelina, it is all about the music and not her.
