Ace's first les paul was a Gecco. Most fans don't know that. All those early kiss albums Ace recorded those with a Telecaster. But we're all Les Paul guys around here. hahaha.. Great guitar Johnny. Looking forward to hearing that some more in some other video's. Peace..
Hey John the new space looks great and the new guitar looks and sounds awesome! Who ever will be the new owner of it when you’re done with it will be a very lucky individual getting it from you with your attention to detail! Like the look of the black walls and ceiling it just makes all the colors in the room pop, even your Trans Am shirt with your black attire lol !
Always great to hear from you Jeff. it's funny. My wife didn't like the red carpet at all until the room went black, now she loves it! I have made so many Ace Frehley Les Paul guitars now, that I don't even need to double check my shopping list any more. It is second nature now. It's never too late to learn, maybe you should pick up a guitar (not one of these to start with, get a cheap Epiphone as a beginner) I would be more than happy to give you lessons, and as many pointers as I can (virtually of course)
Wow. The room is looking fantastic Johnny. The new guitar is killer. I will be back tonight to share some words with you. I have a few questions to ask you. Nothing major. But interesting. I think. Have a great day~ Rob/Boston
Finally back Johnny. One of my questions was did you have your eyes on that particular Gibson for its sound, design or simply because you always wanted a 95 Custom? I know that some of the years were better than others. That is a really sweet looking axe. Speaking of really sweet looking. The room is killer. The perfect feel-at-home room for someone who appreciates Kiss for as long as you have John. What can I say? It looks perfect. Thank you very much for sharing it all~ Rob/Boston
you are correct about the quality issues of Gibson guitars. mid 80's to early 90's the guitar quality was compromised. like 84-92. The company was run by corporate, and then went back to run by musicians, therefore the instruments became a work of art again. Now I have owned Les Pauls that were made in that era, some were good, and some were bad. you really had to look them over, and try them out before buying them. As far as this 1995, this is one of the good ones, and I do plan on building an Ace Frehley guitar, and then selling it to another Kiss fan/musician, as my passion is just as strong in building guitars, as it is in playing them. And as you may have already guessed, I am a perfectionist when it comes to these things 😀
For the Love Of God" Please don't alter that guitar. Just buy a chibson..That guitar is bad ass. The only thing I would do is add a Dimarzio super distortion pickup in the bridge.
thanks brother, I may just do 2 pick ups. I really have not made up my mind yet. I just can't do the Chibson thing, it is like playing plywood. I have been there, and done that, and they are good for the bar, (if someone steals it, or knocks it over and breaks it, you're not out thousands of dollars). But you can definitely see and feel the difference.
@@johnnyhawk1753 hahaha.. I'm sure that you can. I owned a Kalamazoo MI Les Paul that only had 5 digits burned into the back of the headstock. it had the original wiring but everything else was upgraded before I traded my 1983 American Fender, Buddy Holly 1956 limited edition. My Strat was a way more expensive guitar than that old Les Paul, But I never regretted trading it for that old les paul.
@@thebluesrockers one guitar I regret selling was my first Les Paul, it was a 1979 KM special with the name plate. Tobacco Burst standard. Weighed 11 lbs, but was the tone went on forever.
He’s not faking or lip syncing so can’t vibe. Kiss Vanilli
Haha that was hilarious. Comment of the day.
BTW. I also dig the way that you have the computer area set up~
Thanks Buddy

The room is a total wet dream of man caves. Excellent Johnny!!
Thanks brother. I still need a few signed lps, but really off to a great start!

That is correct, he also played an electric Ovation guitar that was more suited for Prince, than him. But on record, no one would have ever known.
@@johnnyhawk1753 That I did not know. do you know what is was? I'd love to look one of those up. You keep rocking and I'll keep watching.. Peace

Yeah, the original video had the ending cut off, so I had to re-upload it! Thanks for commenting again!
Like the blacked out theater room
it makes a huge difference. No more glare, and makes the picture on the screen so much clearer
