I'm so used to humorless twit Rimmer that when Chris flubs the lines and starts laughing and smiling it's quite funny to see. That show has been the source of many laughs and I'm thankful it has stood so well.
Even though he's the antagonist he's the key to the show. Any other character can be removed and it still works, but not Rimmer. Also Barrie is the most attractive dude on there, which helps.
I used to live in the same town as Chris Barrie, well I assume so as he’d drink in my local pub regularly, he looked and behaved nothing like his TV personality, he was actually pretty buff and very self confident. The first time I saw him I wanted to go ‘OMG OMG IT’S LISTER OFF THE TELLY!’ but I was told by the barman to be cool cuz he just liked to chill n have a pint, so I just stared a bit until I got used to it, lol!
@icekat83 Chris Barrie was the only true actor in series 1 and 2. Danny John Jules was a dancer, and Craig Charles was a stand up poet. So yes, he was definitely the better actor out of the 3 :)
Should've kept a montage of Craig's missed tee shots in the episode. Lister being horrible AT being horrible at golf would've be hilarious real time when I was a kid

Err, Chris Barrie played Rimmer. Funnily enough he was the real comedian of the pair, Craig Charles was better known as a poet.

Chris is definitely good, especially in these first two seasons, but i must admit, craig charles is at least pretty good looking to, but Chris is Hot.
