Thank you, sir! A very good description of how to change the bulbs. I just replaced both of my Philips OEMs with LEDs from Amazon. The pair of LEDs were cheaper than one of the Philips OEM bulbs on Amazon. The fog lights on my 2012 Overland are now bright white instead of the warm white (yellowish) of the OEM bulbs. Now we'll just have to see how long they last.
@@jimcole2648 I finally decided to replace them because I got tired of constantly replacing the blown and relatively expensive OEM (PSX24W) bulbs. I figured the LEDs would last longer so only time will tell. So far, so good though. Plus, they were much less expensive...they were somewhere between $16 - $17 for the pair. Also, they were direct replacements in my 2012 Overland so I didn't need any type of a decoder.
Thank you. I needed this video for how to change the fog bulbs on my 2010 Dodge Dakota, which has the exact same bulbs and I could find nowhere else how these come out.
No problem, post up if you have any questions .. but if i could add a tip is be patient in the part where you're removing the old bulb. Don't break or snap anything..
Replaced with LEDs after watching and the entire job took less than 10 minutes. Being right handed made the driver's side easier, but your video made it a piece of cake to do. I purchased the JDM Astar LEDs on Amazon for $30 (X000WPP5XV) which are an excellent upgrade.
How do they perform are they brighter than factory bulbs? Leds consume less energy than incandecent bulbs, has this caused you any issues. thks for the info.
Thank you very much for the simple video! That did the trick I did find on the driver side that you can have the wheel turned all the way out on the driver side and was easy to get to as well.
Thanks for the post...just swapped mine on my '13....just a bit of sticker shock for that little bastard but the switch out was easy enough once I watched your vid.
Thanks for posting this. It made my job a lot easier. (So, to help out I went a found a 1st grader, they have small hands. And they work for ice cream.)
Not sure, very likely though... most foglights in those styles have the same bulb. Try googling your model year and the word foglight. see what comes back.
Zuko Smash they sell oem Mopar housings on eBay. Look up the part number and then enter that into eBay just the part number and you will find the lenses they are fairly cheap right around 30 to 40 bucks maybe a pair
tman55575 I recently put LEDs on my jeeps fog lights, same size just LEDs. Now it’s very important that you get the LEDs with decoders. Jeeps cause them to flicker without decoders. $40 in total, smaame price for the 2 ugly bulbs lol
Dude I appreciate the video... But this shit don't help me at all... I cant figure out how the hell to get this connecter or bulb out even with your description of it... I wish I could find a video that actually shows how to do it... I've tugged and twisted on every clamp I can find on this housing and nothing seems to release or get this bulb out
This video shows exactly how to remove it... If you buy the bulb, and look at it you will see how it works. It takes some pulling as well as squeezing the tabs. That part is the only hard part, outside of that it's super easy. If you're still having trouble, remove the whole bumper. Takes only 5 minutes to do that.
@@TroutWest My bulb is stuck as well. How can I pry this out without damaging any of the other plastic connectors? edit: Got them out, just took a lot of wiggling and pulling.
Thank you. You're the only person to actually explain how to remove the bulbs.

Look into my xprite video that I made... It would be worth your while
Henry Devereux what led did you replace with and did you need the decoders also? Mine is a 2013

Thanks, didn't wanna pull and break anything. Never saw a bulb like this before.
Thanks. I can’t believe after 8 years I finally have to change it. Lol unreal
I have a 2000 GJC, this method must be the same. My right fog needs to be replaced.
Thanks for sharing!
This Prudent Gal yes if it's the same style bulb that you see in this picture it will be the same process
Urban Outdoorsman cool! Thanks!

Led bulbs kind of suck for our housing. Better to replace with the JW speaker led fog lights. Google. It's for a JK but fits WK2
Can you give me the exact name of the bulbs you used? Thanks!
Alex Billingsley PSX24W
Do they have ones that are brighter that would fit or are we relegated to stock bulbs?
