tbh, malenia was more difficult than PCR for me. the problem is mainly because it takes so much time to get to phase 2 with malenia, so its harder to learn it to begin with since you hardly reach it. with PCR you only need to do 16k-ish damage for phase 2, which is easy with status effects. also, while PCR is always aggressive, in both phase 1 and 2, malenia is very passive in phase 1, and then goes turbo mode in phase 2 and becomes hyper aggressive, so the massive change of pace is also difficult to get accustomed to. moreover, the fact that she heals of attacks makes it so that you're afraid to be aggressive yourself, so the fight drags on even longer than usual fights, compared to PCR which makes you fight aggressively to match the attack windows, otherwise you're just more likely to get hit. truly the only thing that PCR fight does worse than malenia is the visual clutter with all the lightbeams. other than that, malenia is still probably more difficult at the end of the day.
I swear was I the only person on this planet who didn’t have trouble with this boss? No spirit Ashes or anything. Her move set is punishing but well telegraphed. Melania as a boss is unique in she punishes you for being indecisive. Committing to ether fast attacks and getting in close with bleed and pushing or faking her out with a big bonk attack outside her range are the ways to go. Whenever is see people die to this boss it’s because they are running in circles panicking.
Literally run away from the attack as soon as she goes up in the air, and then roll past her as she goes towards you and she will miss 99% of the time.

DEX tends to be harder because you usually dont do as much damage and dont have the benefit of stagger most of the time and most STR builds are pretty simple, Charged R2/Jumping R2/Lions Claw, repeat until poise break, riposte, repeat. But there are DEX builds that are very broken with status effects, talismans, physick, etc.

Strength is difficult as you have to hit every shots in precise timing and choose which attack to tank , in strength tanking is main , but flasks will run out soon.

Depends on each persons’ play style and build. Sometimes it works, other times it doesn’t.
They're running in "blind" and dunno her moveset whereas you probably watched them beat this boss first and only then played.
