🎮 Comment A good looking platformer with some nice ideas and mechanics. Definitely better than Taz-Mania imho. It also uses a lot more stuff from the Looney Tunes franchise which is nice. The last stage can be a bit annoying though as you can get lost easily with all that gravity changers.
I would say I have so many memories of this game (and I do) but they're all from the first stage because I was like 5 and didn't really know what was going on. Really nice looking game for the time!
This is definitely a good game but very challenging at times. I remember getting stuck in the Moleworld level, especially the part where the drilling machine chases you. I wonder, If Taz got off Mars and went to other planets after the first level, wouldn't Taz have accomplished his goal of Escape From Mars and the Game could've ended there?
That is the only other game beside Sonic 2 I ever played in a real Sega Genesis. Haven't seen this in a long time! I love the Taz character. I always thought that as a counterpart to Taz-Mania. But the speed in this is Blast Processing.
@@hiltwo Same here! I found my old Christmas wish list for 1995 and this was top of that list (for some reason). Pretty good game overall and I certainly enjoyed it back then, but I can't for the life of me understand why I didn't wish for Sonic 3.
Longplay archive you're just 1 of a handful of RUclipsrs that's given me a lot of surprises in this case you just posted the Genesis game my dad liked playing during my childhood;-)
I feel like when it came to the Sega Genesis it had some really great Looney Tunes games this being one of them I feel like this is a game that's absolutely worth playing through and that soundtrack is also top tier for me it is simply that good
Taz moved too fast in this game for the controls to be considered fair IMO. But literally everything else is spectacular, the music, art, humor - gold.
@@napoleoncomplex2712 But you have to know the level layout and enemy/ hazard placement like the back of your hand. Any cheap game can look good if you play long enough.
I didn't know Taz-Mania had a sequel, the opening animation looking like gameplay with pictures in between is pretty amazing and I never saw anyone talk about this

Oh wow I remember this o’friend, many a weekend night almost reaching day break did I spend trying to best you. Till one summer evening,my hardships finally brought my quest to it’s end. If you guys ever make an longplay of Spider-Man ( one based on the 90s cartoon) , you would have just about all my Sega games on your playlist.
@@imveryangryitsnotbutterThere's always been pop culture references in Looney Tunes. I find it difficult to believe that such a dull name, Marvin's House, could be anything but a pop culture reference. You couldn't call it Marvin's Room because you explore far than that so the next logical step is calling it Marvin's House.
14:00 how are you managing to do that? I looked at the manual, and it says do the tornado, and then press the D button to dig into the Earth, however, the controllers I have don’t have a D button! They have A B C but not a D🤔 I’m having real difficulty getting past that one bit without knowing how to drill upwards 😐

Taz Spins like an Race Car Engine Revving...
I just needed to hear the sounds after 20 years to remember it all. This and laser age on my Compaq was my childhood
Hard to believe this was a kids game, it’s ridiculously hard. I’m on planet X
A lot of licensed games were cheap back then.
Played this a lot as a kid and remember completing it. Was hard, but many good memories. Thanks! 😊
Really impressive game back then, still holds up.

This is so awesome, i loved this game as a kid. Even my mom would play it lol truly one of the best Genesis games. This & rocket knight adventures

My man was just destroying everything in sight. Power ups and all 😂😂😂😂

I got it at Christmas, still have my copy from back then :)
I just got this game for my 34th birthday 🎂🎉 I've only gotten as far as the boss for planet x the halfway point of the game

This game has no business being this difficult!
This was such a massive upgrade over The Search for the Lost Sea Birds.

Had a neighbour we swapped our SNES for their Sega on odd weekends they had both taz games shining force and sonic 2.
31:33 This fight inspired me a story from my imagination.
I never got passed the beginning cage/first breakable wall 😢..
you are a big naz
Marvin plan to put Taz on the alien zoo wasn't such the good idea.
Loved this game always thought it looked amazing 🤩 But geez it was bloody frustrating 😂
Good game, the levels have enough
I love this game please do more thanks 👍👍👍👍👍

Also, the game was basically designed to get you hit at almost every turn.
@@ricardocantoral7672 You do have a lot of HP though. Look at this LP; you can practically tank your way through stages 1 and 2.

the final stage 6 marvin house its impossible
Don't eat the cake with dynamite! It does look succulently sweet and tasty, but it lets off a big bang.

I used to have a Genesis and I actually got that game before.
I was like I need to watch this

learned final boss fantasy
wow!
50:43 This level reminds me of Gravity Man's Stage from Mega Man 5.
As well as death egg zone act 2 for me;)
The name of the final level, Marvin's House, is actually a pop culture reference. At the time, there was popular play called Marvin's Room.
The villain is named Marvin the Martian, and you're in his house. I really don't think it goes any deeper than that.

My closest friend had this game. Neither of us could ever get past the second world.
The castle is way worse for sure
the final level before marvin robot is more difficult
One thing I hated about this game is not being able to hurt or fight Yosemite Sam in the Mexico stages.
