Phil is a great drummer, but still underrated as hell. The man has a swing to his beat that pounds the life into every song. Biggest sound in rock is Mal, Cliff, and Phil. Nine masterpieces from their last 4 albuns.
Anyone else notice the closing of Phil's hi-hat at the onset of the second verse? Listen very closely to the hi-hat at around the 1:10 mark - Phil is letting it swing pretty loose from the outset and throughout the first verse, right up until the end of the *first chorus.* Then he tightens it up at the onset of second verse, right when Brian sings _Well I’m workin’ it out!_ The band’s attention to detail is what makes them so catchy. They aren’t just a loud band but also a SMART band. That's why I say AC/DC are the brains of rock n roll.
