- Sooo.. this talented chap, Jeremy Passion reached out to me on Twitter, and said he was doing a small European tour, of which he'd love me to join in on with a duet for his last show in London.
Being a fan of Jeremy for years, this was an honour.
We decided it would be cool to take some time out at the end of our rehearsal to record a short vid for all u guys at home.
Literally had 10 minutes to rehearse and perform this before the rest of the band arrived, so we hope u enjoy our quick jam/cover of this classic, Musiq Soulchild tune.

They are using standard jazz fingerings (drop the 5th) and substitutions, like minor 9ths for minor 7ths at some points.

+stockmarket101 I figured it out by ear... grab your guitar and start playing along with Jeremy. Start by playing the bass notes until you find the roots that fit for the progression. This one uses the same chord progression as Sunny by Bobby Hebb, so I knew it already.
As for the fingerings, when you hear them for a long enough time (and play them), you will just know what they are by hearing them. This is a good reference to get started:

+masamune927 I forgot to mention also - take the time to learn what the notes are on the 2 biggest strings, the low E string and A string. Doing this will enable you to use the transpositional chords and open an enormous amount of music up to you with relatively little effort.
