The best Solor for ever.Incredible, his jetes perfect , his sky high jumps and the soft landing with the precision, the grace of his hands, i remember that magical performance as one of my best memory of a classical ballet in Paris

Kimin Kim will stay forever in the history of the performing arts as the supreme master of exits. I don't know how he does it. I've watched videos like this again and again trying to figure out what his trick may be, but I didn't get anywhere. Observe what he does here, beginning at 4:47. How can anyone turn an exit into a meeting with eternity, as if he were the entire human race becoming suddenly aware of its own frailty. The way his head leans backward and his arms appear to be reaching for the sky as he finally disappears is unparallelled. Nobody else has done it. Certainly not the way he does it. So in the end it's futile to try to figure out what his trick may be. Unless his trick is that he is Kimin Kim, in the same way as Garbo was Garbo, Callas was Callas, or Brando was Brando. Some performers are born with the capacity to dispense with the light coming from spots. They don't need it. They're all the time under the light coming from the audience's memories, dreams, and imagination.
I feel in this performance there is a spirituel touch. Of course his costume helps a lot, so much bette than this ridicolous pyamas the most dancers have to wear.
