Today is October 29, 73 years since his death. I listened to this music and toasted Mr. G with a whiskey. The photograph of him sitting on that bench has always been a reminder for me. His right foot is turned so far to the right that I think he was assuming an unnatural posture for his own effort. Try it and see if it is a way that would be normal. It's not normal nor comfortable for me. Thank you Mr. G.
+Dan Phillips Harmonium is often played in devotional music, especially in India. Nico, of Velvet Underground fame, played one on her solo records. What he is playing is akin to near eastern scales somewhere between Greek and Klezmer styles but mostly related to sounds used to accompany a dervish as in Sufism.
Apparently, a certain type of music has healing properties. Studies have been done for instance on the use of traditional music from Mongolia, I think, for medical purposes.
