      Rivalry’s have been good in sports in the past… however I believe a new reality is being usherd in! They don’t have to compete against each other, yet challenge each other to produce their best performance. Let’s re structure our words… it’s caused too much stress.     Kishane is the only man that has made Lyles nervous in the last 3 years. Kishane jus turned 23 years old people. VERY YOUNG, So much raw talent and speed. He will be back, not only better, faster, stronger but SMARTER. Look forward to seeing him in coming years, wish him the best.

      I really don’t think Noah Lyles want to tangle with Kishane for the rest of the year until around World championship next year..
      The kind of money he would get from the Dimond league is small comparing the bonus he will receive from the Olympic..
      Bragging rights means a lot to guys like Noah Lyles he’s going to enjoy his win for the rest of the year..
      Kishane is a tough opponent to Noah he would rather run against people he can easily beat than to take a chance with Oblique and Kishane when he don’t have to..

      You will find those kids out Africa running with Kishane to better their time, just like they did with ShellyAnn after her series of 10.6es Dina Asher Smith said that what she was doing better her race..
      Kishane will used the early part of the season to practiced different part of his race..

And please explain how Noah is ducking Kishane when Noah frequently runs in the DL and the other big meets and Kishane doesn’t run outside of Jamaica. Let’s just hope Kishane isn’t the next Asafa Powell 2.0. Great at posting times running against nobodies, but when the heat is on and the line up is stacked, fails to deliver.

    Bear in mind he did not run his personal best. He ran faster times before but the pressure was on in that race and it was his first major championship. This guy is the new great and he is so handsome🎉🎉

      The 9.79s in Paris was his second fastest official race. His PB is 9.77s done in June 2024.

      He already has the world lead this year with 9.77s. Last year (2023) his PB was 9.85s. Next year maybe 9.72s at his peak could be possible if he still manages to improve in contrast to Bolt or Blake at his age.

      If he gets the perfect storm. In great shape, fast track, good legal wind behind him. He might run 9.65 to 9.72 on his best day. If he shut down for a 9.77. That's surely possible.

    Let appreciate achievements from both sides:
    Kishane -
    - Kishane getting silver at his first EVER Olympics
    - Having the current word Lead and running 9.7 with ease
    - Jamaicans first major champ medal in 8 years
    Lyles -
    - Known as a 200m runner, and people always doubted again he can be a 100m runner.
    - running a PB in the most important race of his career
    - US first Olympics gold in 20 years

      @@Loveamericasave I saw the officials hold everyone up at the line for incredibly too long, which negatively affected sum of the inexperienced competitors. 3 rounds, Nerves on the Biggest stage. That resulted in the very slightest fingernail length margin of victory in the end. Wasn't like he won by a long shot.

      2nd 9.79 (9.789)
      Let's see them race again in a Diamond league meet with no rounds; just one all out race, and actually see who the "fastest man" is. Which is the man with the fastest time in the world. And currently it's 9.77 (Kishane Thompson)
      Yea, Lyles just won the Olympics 100m race. He has lost other 100m races this year. And he will lose more in the Diamond league as well. I guarantee it

    Yh, what I don't hear ppl talking about is the margin of error of the timing equipment this should be considered in any electronic device and since the result was so close, both should be awarded the gold medal.

      @@Phace313 they both clock the same time(9.79sec) which comes down to frame per second (0.005 of a second). Now all electronic devices as fault tolerance +/- (resistors, capacitors etc etc) in the clocking device even if the picture shows that Lyles is ahead it depends on the angle at which the snap was taken which can be deceptive. My argument is it's too close to make an accurate conclusion. Hence both should get gold.
