Okay I’m going to be a sorta smart JJK person here but Mahoraga is only able to adapt when a attack is landed or he sees a cursed technique . Then the adaptation goes into a countdown. The more Mahoraga spots or comes in contact to the cursed technique, the shorted the time of adaptation is. But if Mahoraga is defeated before it’s adaptation then it won’t work. If you’re still confused here’s an example: If Mahoraga came across a volcano and went into it, the adaptation will start and shorten. A wheel on his head will turn. That will make him adapt and become immune to lava. Sorry if I didn’t get it correct at some stuff or you did know about this 😅 but I hope it helps!
