If r&b is your main vibe, then you're definitly gonna love Jay B ❤🔥 Jay B has a tag line "I'm not cute, I'm sexy" - but honestly, as this 4 minute medley showed, it really should be: I'm cute AND sexy 😍
If you noticed, every songs composed/written by Def. which is JayB himself. Def is like his alter ego. JayB is more of his idol side, while Def is more like his personal style of music. He has always leaning towards r&b style of music, and I can tell that you gonna love his Def. music too later down the road! Even during in GOT7, JayB has always composed/write a lot of GOT7 songs under the name Defsoul. As for Junny, I really love him and his music too! I can say that both Def. and Junny has similar direction in their music whch is kr&b. And they are good friends too! Junny even mentioned once in an interview that JayB was the first artist who reached out to him after Junny came to Korea. JayB contacted him after seeing Junny's music in SoundCloud. JayB even introduced his crew of songwriters that he works with to Junny at that time.

Ohh I love both title Tracks. I love all the songs so I will have to listen to the whole song to pick my fav. This highlight Medley felt like 1 day date with Jaebeom start from day and ending with night. This is his first full album and there are 2 more songs but CD only. FYI, Jay B’s producer name is Def. Jay B and Junny are members of OffShore crew. They have produced songs for other K-pop artists. Jay B first reached out to Junny after seeing his SoundCloud and introduced him to his crew. They have done multiple collaborations together. My fav are Just Stay, Nostalgia, Fame.

Junny just helped with lyrics and production.. He doesn't feature on any songs on this album.. He featured in a song called Fame on JayB's first album 🔥 Totally check out Junny, he's amazing.. Saw him live in Copenhagen last year and he was AMAZING.. Hope he comes back with JayB or that JayB comes by himself on tour 🤞🏻 JayB is my Ult bias btw 🥰 So happy JayB joined Mauve with Junny, since they're such goid friends and in the same production company called Offshore.. JayB's producer name is Def.. Also it's JayB's first full album and there's actually 2 CD only tracks, so 13 in total and JayB said his two favourites are the two CD only tracks 😉 BTW Jaebeom is super clumsy and a nerd (in the best way) also he's the cutes.. Be careful or you will fall hard 🥰 BTW him and Yugyeom does A LOT of slow sexy R&B 😏
Many ppl already told you about him and Junny and Def/Defsoul. Just wanted to say, if you like R&B, you will realize a lot of the GOT7 side tracks are very R&B influenced mixed with Dance/House a bit. I think that’s their signature sound. Especially if the members wrote them, which are mostly in the b-sides (they are GOOD). I would say check out their later years Japanese albums too. You can start from the last > earlier. And Jus2!!!!! That entire album is FIREEEEEE!
JayB literally introduced me to a lot of Korean R&B artists. Personally I think this is the genre where he shines the most as a singer, especially in Sunrise, Ride, Blind, Deeper, Something Special (my ultimate fav) and Ring and as a writer I think he shines more in pop songs like Teenager, Eclipse, Page, Thursday, and Come On. Nevertheless, his songs are unskippable for me.
Please please if you have the time, check out In December by Sun ft. Def. (JayB). That song absolutely ruined me when it came out. I want to know what your opinion is, or am I just a sad bastard.😅
