The farting part was hilarious because I'm a male of the species thus farts are always hilarious. Love your videos and I think you should have far more subscribers. 🤘
lol, i got told of tonight by the other half for 'genderizing' flatulence. All i said was don't fart at your mum's face, when you hang out with the boys, it will be ok, they'll laugh :-)
Great brew and video! Love dankness in hops, thats the way its supposed to be. I'm gonna be doing a west coast style CTZ IPA at some point. Love the music (3:36 is devastating haha). When you dry hop, do you put them in a muslin bag or something or do they just go straight in? I usually bag my dry hops and tend not to get hop particulate, even with heavy dry hop loads. The downside is lower contact rate with the wort though, but makes cleanup a bit easier. Keep up the good work!
We put the hops in loose. Our typical time frame is 4-5 days contact time and then 1-2 days cold-ish crash and thanks to the racking arm (and the siphon back when we used carboys) we had no problems. We just tried to do everything too fast after being seduced by the dark side of 1 week turn around kveiks. 2-3 weeks seems to be the ideal time frame for our IPAs depending on the yeast strain/if we're worried about hop creep.
I feel like you guys are my spirit animal... which in my mind is like a manticore... only heavier.... we’ll call it a Manti-hardcore. Yeah. My spirit animal is a manti-hardcore.... and that’s you guys. Evidently.. I don’t know, I got lost in the middle back there somewhere.
I think the biggest advantage of First Wort Hopping is that you don't have the boil-over risk that you do when you drop hops in at the beginning of the boil. Also, if you are bittering with the same hops you are using as aroma hops, you maaayyy get some added flavor depth. We just like to do it for convenience.
Seriously one of the best home brew vids on the Tubes.. love the originality, guys. Keep up having fun and making awesome content
Thanks for watching!

You should swap mosaic for strata to up the dankness!
Excellent suggestion, we'll have to try it for version 2.0
What is this arcane alchemy you call first wort hopping? Stop giving me more variables to test!
