Fun fact, Percy was actually Taliesin's 2nd character in the campaign. His first one (a dragonborn paladin) had died before they even started live-streaming. That's why we have that scene at the beginning of Percy being the last one to join the party.
I don't think Rusty Trombone (possibly the name, possibly a joke) died - it was just a character he played in the original one shot. Taliesin always wants to play something new, so when they switched from 4E to Pathfinder, he'd never played a gunslinger and wanted to explore the idea of the first person to invent guns in a fantasy world.
If you're sobbing this hard, you're watching a Critical Role show correctly. ❤ I've been here idk how many times and each time it guts me. Don't worry about being a mess with us, we get it.
Dr. Anna Ripley is a great villain. Her actions are of course evil as one would expect from a villain, but at the same time her motivations are *_understandable._* Had normal people like the people of her village had the means of defending themselves against the attacking mages (i.e. had guns), then they might’ve survived. Her *_father_* might have survived. Ripley’s goal is to give every non-magic user in the world the ability to fight on equal footing with powerful wielders of magic, to ensure that what happened to her home and family cannot happen again. Levelling the playing field for the common-folk in a world of magic. Her actions in pursuit of that goal are reprehensible, of course, but her motivations and goals are at least understandable. Give everyone the power, and they can decide for themselves how they use it.
No spoilers. In going to tell you now. These actors are aces at their game. Top notch at what they do. You interviewed them. You witnessed how kind and smart they all are. When they sit down and get creative they make masterpieces. Every single campaign has made me ball my eyes out multiple times. The Mighty Nein will be no different. And this show has more shots coming if they continue down the line of their first campaign.
Omg this ep completely destroyed you.😢 ❤I haven’t gotten to this point in the campaign yet, but I’ve seen clips and knew of some spoilers, so I kinda knew what was coming.
I sobbed so hard at these episodes I started hyperventilating so I FEEL YOU. and yes, in the campaign, it was a bad roll on Percy’s death saving throw. now spoilers ahead…….. IF they stick to the canon of the campaign, they would bring him back to life either by next week’s episodes or next season. but tbh at this point, I’m scared and idk what they’re going to do 😭
@radudancoroian5169 they've made pretty clear they're changing things up from what happened in the campaign already, and honestly, as much as I hate it, permadeath of a main character is 1) effective and gripping storytelling, and 2) not something this group of storytellers would or ever have shied away from. personally, I still have hope because I just think it would be TOO big of a change, but they've already surprised me so many times during this series that I just don't know anymore.
@@alefnull it would be efective if this was any other show but the main cast here ARE the selling point. For what reason would I keep watching if you just start triming the focal point?
@@radudancoroian5169 the main cast are the selling point for *some* people, not all. there are many people coming into this show with no knowledge of CR and its cast and history.
Story Events usually aren't the result of a roll. That's stuff the players and the devious GM have created in their minds ;) Rolls happen when people attempt to do something.
well, Talks Machina is no longer a thing but I do know that Taliesin mentioned a while before this happened in game that he had a really cool backup character!
i truly hope and believe they gonna make season 4 percy's ark and he is not really dead but those things will be answered on next episodes too i reckon
Death can be a non-issue at higher levels in DnD. Matt uses a house rule that makes it dicier to bring people back from the dead. They clearly wanted to do the same thing with the show. Death can be real, y'all. And it hurts like a mf'er when it is. Great reaction!❤

Dragonborn paladin incoming in episode 10...?

I love how the corpse in the jail cell was Taliesin (the hair)
@@zenmastermtlyes that was hilarious

"You blink.. And it's just feathers" 😢
Told myself I wasn't going to cry again over this episode, but the minute you did, I joined in.
I was emotional the whole time, but when trinket cries out for Percy is when the dam truly broke for me 😭
That's what broke me as well.
I love the shot of percy in the intro to season 1 was finally explained, when he was in the jail where VM met him
Yessss! I love it too
If it makes you feel better, they are torturing us who had finished the campaign too by changing things up. Critical Role cast you cruel sickos 😭
I am just so sad.
That can’t be the end of Percy, he’s too important. Maybe they’re just making his revival later? 😢
I was okay until Trinket's mournful bellow
I so with you right now... ❤😭
😭😭😭😭
We critters have no idea where this show is going now! I both love and hate that!
THERE'S LARKIN!!!
I love how in touch with your emotions you are.
Ripley will bloody pay for this 😡😭😡😭

Critical role need to raise money in kickstarter to pay for our therapy now

This was a heavy one. So perfectly done. Having seen it go down in the game. They did this so well. Percys not okay. I'm not okay.
It's so brutal 😭

9th level. I'm sorry.
@havenomouth
"I counterspell"
"Roll to see if it succeeds"
"I'm casting it at 9th level, the only slot I have left"
Wow. Subbed.
Awww, thank you!! Welcome!!!
Read the graphic novel it’ll make you feel better
I'm not going to lie when I play mega Man zero 4 for the game boy advance I cry too
they have deviated pretty far from the campaign in places. there are times where you see the changes they made just for benefit of the poor animators.
❤❤❤❤❤
Was it RIPLEY, or was it ORTHAX that pulled the trigger?
Mild spoiler:
There maybe some good news down the road though. With long black hair, grey eyes and RED skin!
4th to like and view
Yayyyy! Thanks for watching!
