Awesome demo, i had the GE200...i don't know if you have tried it yet, but i had the same problem with the ge200, but i fixed most of it by using the "Mooer G-6" in the Eq block, using it between the amp and the cab block, most amps in the mooer benefits pretty well when you cut some dbs in the 100hz, 200hz, 400hz and 3.2hz...doing that you can go back to the amp block and dial the bass from there, so you don't lose the amp's bass characteristics, it feels more alive, the mooer pedalboards are quite tricky to get a close tone to the real, but with a lot of work it really shines, it doesn't come close to the real thing in terms of dynamic range. But i hope you can get a closer tone from it by using the eq block! Thanks for the awesome video, great content and quality.
Hi Lucas, thank you so much!!! I will try to follow your suggestion. Thank you for sharing it in my channel, I really appreciated it, and obviously also many thanks for your appreciation of the video!!!
Amazing demo again, thank you! Now I understand how that Tone Capture works actually. When I listened at the end in the mix, it was practically impossible for me to tell the difference. I haven't expected such a great feature in a medium price range unit. I'm really impressed. Oh, and your playing is incredible!
Leo, your fast becoming my favorite YT guitar gear reviewer. Your playing is fantastic and your in depth review of each piece of gear is well explained. I really like the way you A/B the amps with their corresponding models. With regards to the Moore GE250, do you know what DSP processor it uses? I can’t seem to find it anywhere in Moore’s documentation.
Hi James, thank you so much! You message and appreciation really make me happy!!! Unfortunately I don't know...it would be pretty interesting to know...so, if someone has better info, please drop a message here!
Great job Leo, very useful video. I've just discovered your channel and I've been impressed by the professionalism of the tests and of course by your playing technique. Keep going and thank you for your work.
Wow! Ge 250 is very cool of what it could achieve. I honestly couldn't tell the difference once it's mixed with other things. Salute to you Leo! Your guitar playing ability is way up there!👏🏿👏🏿👏🏿👏🏿
Theres pure magic powers in that Marshall, but the Ge250 is awesome! I enjoy your song, that at my ears sounds like a crunchy hard rock. Cheers from Portugal, my friend! 🤘🍺
2:58 Why would we seemingly blindly mess with the eq and gain, before listening to the amp, wouldn't that all be better left neutral until we get to the point where we need to chg things? I'm guessing that the tone capture feature clones my amp sound into one of mooer's presets, then from their we might want to make some adjustments.
Thank you Leo for your nice demo. Everything is very nice , I mean your elegant playing, clear explanations and video editing. I want mention that the behaviour of the valve is very different in comparison of the digital processor. In my experience I can feel the valve has more mid and high range harmonics.
Thank you, I'm super happy that you like the video! I've not tested the unit with pedals so I can't answer from direct experience....but I've read that it "copy" pedals pretty well. Thank you once more!
Right? I wonder if they would just have to share them and not sell them because it would be a Marshall plexi lol. That’s why I would assume they change the amplifier names on the units because all these companies don’t have licensing rights. I know IK multimedia seems to have Mesa, orange, soldano, fender names in their software because they paid them for that
How can I finetune the captured tone like this without using a parallel mixer like you do in this video? I want to 'steal' the amps from the rehearsal place I go to.
Great work as always Leo! In your opinion, what sounds best? The Tone captured sounds by these units or the GNR modeled amps of GElabs?Or...the stock amp modeling of the ampero? Thanks for your time, have a great day!
Hi, I think that the GE Lab profile of a full rig, just capture a specific set up and it does it pretty well, I mean it is pretty realistic. The Tone capture is more flexible as you can pair to whatever cab / IR you want. If you use the tone capture, you have to use very good IRs, that let the profile shine. So it's really a matter of what you are searching for. As regards the Ampero, I think that the stock amp are pretty good, but you still need to use very good IRs, to let this models shine. Thank you for your question!
Great video and great insight on the kemper comparison... would like to know if the mooer tone capture has any constraints... for example, can it capture correctly amps that are not already programmed ? a plexi is a very common amp... try capturing a boutique amp for example..
Leo great video. Thank you! I have a small combo amp, it's a Yamaha THR10X. I came up with a tone which I would really like to capture, probably with the GE250. My THR10X only has a guitar socket, a headphone socket and an Aux socket (for mobile phone and mp3 song playback). Obviously the 4 cable method will not work here. Is there any other way we could get around to achieve the tone capture? Many Thanks Leo.
Thank you Victor, really appreciated! I don't own the THR, so I cannot be sure, but I don't think you can use the tone capture feature, as the THR miss the needed ports. Thank you once more.
Hi Leo! Do you know if the GE250 can do the tone capture from guitar pedals too??? I know that the GE300 and 300 lite can, but I'm really interested in purchase a GE250. Thanks and cheers from Brazil.
Hi André, I have checked out the user manual of the GE 250 and only amp tone capture is mentioned...therefore, according to the user manual, it seems not possible to profile pedals. Thank you for your question.
Hi Leo. I was wondering if during the comparison the power amp modelling was enabled on the Mooer. If it was, would that not explain the difference in tone (Marshall preamp vs Mooer preamp+power amp)?
Hi, for profiling / tone capturing, I would say ToneX or Kemper or Quad Cortex. Furthermore if you want a software solution totally free you can try NAM. There is also an hardware NAM Player available: you can check it out in my channel as I recently review it. Thanks!
Hi Emmanuel...This is a pretty hard question to answer 😊... I don't have done a direct comparison, so I can't answer right now... but it's a very interesting question... I have to try out...

I'm not sure if I have properly understood your question. In the Mooer you don't have valves, and the captured amps for sure has valves if it is a tube one...
Did you use a real cab for the Marshall and the Stock cab sims from the mooer? If so from my experience I'd say that mooers products are pretty cool for their money but the stock cabs really weren't doing it for me with my ge 200. IRs make a huge difference.
Hi John, the feel is pretty good with the exception of the dynamic range, which is better handled in the Marshall. In my opinion it depends on how you play and the situation, I mean if you want just to use the volume of the guitar and your touch to change the tone from clean to distorted, the Marhall is better
Great Demo.....seems that some innovation and ingenuity gives more and more features and better sound for the buck! I start to like this device! Nice job done! 👍

The marshall is less compressed less closed, but by EQ you compesated how possible.
