    Fun fact: the kid (a young adult by now of course) who said the "Master Skywalker..." line gave an interview a few years back, and he claimed that when filming the scene Hayden actually yelled "Booo!" at them. Since it was unscripted it genuinely startled him, that's why he's reaction to Anakin igniting the lightsaber was so good. He also said, that after watching the film, his parents had to reassure him, that Anakin didn't actually kill him in the film.

The boy, Sons Bandeam (Ross Beadman, his character name is an anagram of his real name) said he and Hayden became good friends and stayed in touch for years following the film, and reunited at a reunion. Revenge Of The Sith is my absolute favorite out of the prequels. The double climactic lightsaber duels that take place toward the end of the movie. Anakin Skywalker/Darth Vader VS Obi-Wan Kenobi on Mustafar and Yoda VS Emperor Palpatine on Coruscant in the Senate chamber are top notch across the board. Musical score, fight choreography, visual effects, audio effects and emotional impact. I give them all an A+.

It takes place in between the prequels and the original trilogy and you see Darth Vader with his own apprentice, against the wishes of Emperor Palpatine. Darth Vader plots behind the Emperor's back to murder him, essentially. If you choose the Jedi route for the main character Starkiller, you get to see a scene where he and Vader actually fight on board the Death Star before taking on Emperor Palpatine himself.

    One of my favorite things about George's use of subtle imagery in this movie is after anakin transitions to being darth Vader, a ton of the shots of him doing evil deeds is always showing half of his face to symbolize that even though he's seemingly lost, part of anakin is still there.
    Another fun fact that a lot of fans don't know is why anakin was so upset with not gaining the rank of master. His "it's never been done before, it's insulting" is only a surface level excuse to why he's upset. He's actually mad because all the master techniques (like healing) are only accessible to those with the rank of master. He really needed that title to access the Jedi archives and learn a light side method to saving padme, and being denied that boxed him into a corner that made him feel like palpatine was the only one offering a solution before padmes due date.
    Loved the reactions guys!

    • @jmwilliamsart
      @jmwilliamsart Год назад +2

      How right you are, the Jedi did use Anakin just like Palpatine would after he became Darth Vader. Padme was one of the only people who didn’t use Anakin, and truly loved him. She was right about there still being good in him, as their son Luke would validate.

    • @GrapeCheckerBoard
      @GrapeCheckerBoard Год назад

      That was a novelization addition. In the movies there’s no reason to think Anakin wants to be a master for any reason besides thinking he deserves the rank. (I wonder who have Anakin that idea.)

    • @JJ_Adventures
      @JJ_Adventures Год назад +1

      @@GrapeCheckerBoard I never said it wasn't. However, the novelizations were signed off by George, which gives more credence to the ideas presented in them than not. It's not like George can put every single idea he has in the movies. They would be even longer than LOTR lol he probably worked closer with the book novelizations than he did any other writer. I wouldn't be surprised if all the ideas in the novelizations were ideas the writer drew from based on things George told them.

They had to attach his nerves to the new metal parts on his limbs and body that attached himself to the suit when he put it on. Before starting the video, I just wanna say how much I adore you guys! After wrapping the prequels, I think we'll all agree Lewis can cut his Padawan braid now as a full Jedi Knight, with you both nearly Jedi Masters as you wrap the Clone Wars.
    Edit after watching: Yep, Kenobi takes place roughly exactly half way between ep 3 and 4, around 10years after this one. So long as you guys go in chronological order from here (sounds like that's the plan), it's pretty much smoothe sailing from here!
    I'm also so happy you guys decided to toss most of Clone Wars in before episode 3. Most of us cared at Order 66, but had no clue who these Jedi were, but seeing Lewis rattling off names.... I'm jealous of his experience there. So was my former Padawan, but she did NOT wanna wait for ep3 and was worried she wouldn't enjoy "a silly cartoon".... She LOVED Clone Wars and regretted not watching in the order Lewis did.
    So excited for you guys and what's in store!!!

    Probably one of the best points to stop clone wars and watch episode 3, because the very next arc is a fairly substantial "spoiler", as is (to a lesser extent) the final arc of season 6. But you got just far enough to know roughly where Ahsoka is (or isn't) so you avoid that confusion, and get a little bit more of why Anakin is predisposed to be against the Jedi.

    My youngest child is a boy, and until he was about fourteen he was a fan too, though young men develop other interests as they mature he still likes Star Wars now at the age of 21.
    Your father & son interaction is lovely, I'm reminded of my own many years ago, and your genuine reactions and so real, what a lovely bond you have, it's also wonderful to see younger generations love and enjoy Star Wars too.

    Palpatine expertly played Anakin, ever since he first met the young boy during the Victory celebrations on Naboo. The Tragedy was that if only Anakin hadn't surrendered himself to Hate and Anger after Shmi died in his arms, he would have remained a Jedi, Palpatine felt his emotions at the same time Yoda did at this point.
    Obi Wan truly loved his former Padawan,and that image of Anakin horribly burned and having lost virtually all of his limbs, admitting his Hate for his former Teacher, that must've left a scar on his heart. Probably why Obi Wan took it upon himself to watch over the young Luke as his unofficial Guardian on Tatooine, sensing the young boy's strong connection to the Force, careful to protect the boy from any influence from the Dark Side.

      @jmwilliamsart Год назад

      To be fair the Jedi didn’t give him an outlet for his emotions, they just kept telling him to suppress them and keep them bottled up. Obi Wan was too much of a traditional minded Jedi for someone like Anakin, and he didn’t stand up for him against the Council when he should’ve, ultimately he did fail Anakin, and so did the Jedi as a whole. What were the Jedi thinking when they gave Palpatine access to Anakin in the first place?

    This movie is excellent! Great reaction. It's really cool to see the duality that Anakin feels during the movie because at the end of the day he just wants to save the one he loves, which is totally fair and understandable for us, all humans feel that. And when he discovers that it is possible to do it, he realizes the barriers that go against the Jedi order and he is in this huge conflict because he no longer trusts the order so much and if what they are doing is right, because they basically became soldiers of the Republic and that makes him lose that unshakable faith in the Order, we can also see this in the Clone Wars episode when Ashoka is persecuted and expelled from the order, he says that- "You know what it's like to want to leave order". And little by little these things were creating this doubt in his head "Am I on the right side?". The final battle is spectacular, the best in the saga, two brothers fighting for two valid objectives despite Anakin having turned to the dark side, his main objective is to save his wife's life. Obi wan's speech at the end is wonderful. What a spectacular storyline!!!

      Indeed, the Jedi Order had become too dogmatic, too rigid, and arrogant. They talk about the risks that come with emotional attachments yet they were so attached to a corrupt and dysfunctional Republic, and the power that it gave them. I honestly don’t blame Anakin for feeling disillusioned with the Jedi Order.

      @@SofaandChill To be honest I believe that both the Jedi Order and the Republic both needed to fall in order to start over later on and learn from their mistakes. The Jedi Order was too dogmatic, too detached to the ordinary people, arrogant, and they were too attached to the Republic and the power it gave them. And the Republic was too corrupt, it was already tottering even without Palpatine’s machinations.
      What Yoda meant when he said he failed is that he failed the Order as a whole. He never allowed the order to change, to evolve. The Sith had evolved, and grown stronger since Darth Bane’s rule of two. Whereas the Jedi had only stagnated, and only trained to fight the last battle. Both Obi Wan and Yoda needed to go into exhile in order to learn what it meant to be true Jedi, to learn from their mistakes, and to watch over Luke and Leia.
      In Star Wars Legends (forget the sequel trilogy) Luke’s new Order allows Jedi to marry and have children. His new Order teaches new Jedi to experience all emotions and to master them while still having attachments so that they don’t fall to the dark side. Besides Qui Gon Luke is what the Jedi should’ve been. Luke’s attachments are what saved him, his friends, and ultimately his father Anakin from the dark side.
      Padme was right about there being good in Anakin, and Luke was the only one that could’ve brought it out because of the family connection to Padme. Luke is more like his mother Padme, he inherited her determination, hopefulness, and her compassion. What Palpatine also hated was not only that Luke had refused him, is that he reminded him of Padme who was one of his greatest obstacles. Even though Palpatine won the battle, in the long run Padme won the war, she inspired millions to oppose Palpatine and join the Rebellion, and her 2 children would help take Palpatine down.

      After watching this episode as a teenager, I realized for myself that I hate both the Sith and the Jedi and their moronic code, because of which Anakin became like this. If there hadn't been so much disdain for him on the part of the council, and a ban on the NATURAL NEED OF HUMAN IN LOVE, he would not have gone over to the dark side.

    Enjoy the rest of Clone Wars, they did a fantastic job with the story and characters. I would watch Rebels before you watch Solo or Rogue One, at least the first two seasons, if not the whole thing. I would certainly watch Rebels before Kenobi, but I suspect some may disagree with that. Tales of the Jedi can be watched whenever, but I would again advise beginning Rebels before you watch the end of that too.

    I think this is actually a decent order to watch everything in. One of the biggest draws of Clone Wars for me is knowing how that saga ends, in Episode III. And, no spoilers, but I really like watching Rebels before the end of Clone Wars, just because it leaves open the question: “what happened between then and now?” And it’s that pursuit of answers that makes the Star Wars journey, twisting as it is, worth it.

    No matter how many times I watch Order 66 happen, it never gets any easier to watch. I remember going to see this in theaters with a few friends who were more casual Star Wars fans. They had forgotten when watching the other films that Anakin becomes Vader so they were just as emotional upon leaving the cinema as the die hard fans.
    I’m not picky with how people watch Star Wars. I don’t think the order matters since every new film, series, etc is meant as an entry point for new fans. I have friends who disagree with me on this point, but I am always just happy whenever anyone takes an interest in anything Star Wars. If I get to share in that interest that’s even better, too. So you’re definitely not going to upset me ever by whatever order you decide to watch things in.
