I believe a good Idea would help to have those who are more financially minded in the hobby to be able to help some one like myself , to get a true assessment value of our personal collection. This hobby is bound to become more of a cash worthy investment , perhaps even encroaching upon stock market worthness. So if there are any appraisers out there your calling has just been legitimized , I , we , need your expertise.

I gotta say I'm not very happy with any of the new 2024 castings. They are made very cheap now. Car's are a lot lighter with less detail and cost more for less. So for me , I'm not going to be hunting the way I used to. I'd rather hunt for the , 70's , 80's and 90's castings. Thanks and have a great week.

Diecast trading looks to be becoming a lost practice. Not a lot of people under age 45 (particularly under 30 group) are interested in doing trades whether it be in person or online.
Hard to tell what the feel of collecting will be as 2024 progresses. Peg hunting hasn’t been a real productive use of time/effort so far in 2024. Places that actually have a little stock like grocery/drug/auto parts stores are (3/$5)=$1.67-$2.19 per car, which even if you aren’t planning on selling them is “underwater” value wise for 90+ percent of modern mainline cars, particularly if you open them.
