FINALLY! Someone gave me an idea of what these bumps might be. Everyone was like "fungal acne" but mine never itch and are skin coloured and sometimes turn into blackheads.
people be slashing and roughly rubbing their cleansers all over their skin for 10 seconds and rinse off and then complain abt how their skin texture isn't improving, yeah I wonder why😒 If y'all actually don't know: first, you should wash your hands really good, don't forget to wash under your nails too (you can't wash your face with dirty hands), wet your skin a couple of times (your skin is like a sponge, in order for it to absorb all the good chemicals/ingredients it needs to be wet thoroughly). Apply the cleanser on your hands and rub them to create a foam (if you’re using a different cleanser you should still rub your hands to distribute the liquid equally). Apply on your face in GENTLE motion, I suggest using your middle and ring fingers, especially around your eye area since that skin area is more sensitive. Keep applying the cleanser for a good minute (cleansers take time to absorb into skin and actually start working, so washing your face for 10-15 seconds won't do anything to your skin, you will just waste the product. Applying the cleanser from 1-2 minutes will ensure the ingredients to soak into your skin through the thick barrier and start working. A lot of idols do this technique and their skin is glowing)) I personally like to spread the cleanser from my cheeks, to my nose, to my forehead, and then to my chin (I switch the order too but always do my cheeks first) and finish off with my eye area. Then rinse it off with warm water, don't let it be too cold or too hot because that will also break the skin barrier and stress your skin out, causing more breakouts. Then I wipe my face with a towel lightly, not too much so my skin would be a little bit damp to absorb the moisturizer well. Toner is optional, if you have it then use it but if you don't it's still fine. Pump your moisturizer and spread equally in your hands. Now, my skin type is combo and my concern area is the t-zone so I like to put the moisturizer on my cheeks and whatever is left on my forehead then nose, and then chin (your way may differ depending on your dry areas). LASTLY, this is important, dab your skin lightly to help the moisturizer absorb well and lock in your skin!!! This is also a good tip: Rub your hands to create heat and gently press on your face, this will increase the blood flow in the skin, allowing oxygen and nutrients to move through blood vessels which is essential for the regrowth of damaged tissue)) Give your skin and your skin care ingredients some time (2 months is a good period of time where you can see changes) to get to know each other and work together to make your skin look perfect. Hope this helps :)) oh and PLEASE do not forget about your neck!!! you don't need a special routine for your neck but at least applying toner to wipe off the dust/dirt and applying moisturizer afterwards will help so much, also try doing massages and move your hands from up to down (so going from your chin, apply a little bit of pressure and start moving your hands down all the way to the base of your neck where your shoulders are) this will make your neck look so much better AND DO NOT PLEASE DO NOT FORGET TO WEAR SUNSCREEN WHEN GOING OUT EVEN IF ITS CLOUDY!!! Update: One of my friends told me to try this one skincare/makeup company called SSTAGIONI COSMETICS and yall- I love it😭 I had a lot of dark spots so I decided to buy their vitamin c and you can really see the difference even tho it’s been like 2 weeks?? Also recommend the cleanser (lightweight and doesn’t leave my skin dry), the toner (very moisturizing!!), and the moisturizer bc it also contains spf so it’s a double win.

Wow! Fungal acne and closed comedones are so similar! I thought I had fungal acne (but I didn't really do something to them😂) but after hearing the differences between them, I realized that what I got is closed comedones. It isn't itchy and it is similar color to my skin. I hope these dissappear from our faces🥺
Thank you for making this video! I have had these bumps for years! I’m 17, and have found photos of fungal acne, webpages on fungal acne, and finally have some idea on what my skin might have in store. I don’t believe I have fungal acne, thank you for mentioning CC! 🤍🌸🤗
I had these tiny bumps for 5 years all over my forehead. I was so self conscious about it that I stopped wearing makeup and dolling up for any occasion. It was starting to take a toll in every aspect of my life. I watched a video about using Nizoral to treat it and so I went out and got it. It's been 2 weeks since I started using and I woke up with clear skin yesterday morning. It felt like a miracle. Now, the only thing I did differently with using it was applying it every 2nd or 3rd day, not daily. And my skin is looking and feeling smooth again. Would just like to say Nizoral worked for me when nothing else did for the last 5 years.
This is a bit random but can we take a moment to appreciate the whole vibe in this vid, you sound so sweet and i feel happy watching videos like this :)
I have been using the SA cleanser from Cerave, the glycolic acid toner and the niacinamide from the ordinary and those products helped me clear my forehead of CCs soooo much. Definitely recommend 👍🏼
I have been struggling with this issue for the last 4 years but this year I am super happy to say that I am finally getting rid of them Some of the tips from my side 1: keep your self far away from oil 2: Drink alot of water 3: keep your body cool (because I only get it in summer) 4: I am using a face wash Acklear Face wash, Adocxa tablet, and clear cream. 5: Avoid Touching your face 6: I removed my facial hair 6: take proper sleep 7: wash your face regularly
I literally want to cry, I've thought I had fungal acne for months and I've been so stressed out that I can't get rid of it with all the products I've bought and research I've put into it. Thank you so much for this video, you've helped me in such a major way. Thankyouthankyouthankyou
I remember I watched this video last year, and this actually helped me so much. I tried so many different products thinking I have fungal acne, but after watching this video I got to know that no it's cc. Then to treat it I started using a gel which has benzoyl peroxide on it and finally got rid of the stubborn cc after 3 years of suffering it. So just wanted to say thank youuu
@@bornforjeon I used to think I have fungal acne but all of the symptoms of cc mentioned in this video matched with mine. I'm also using salicylic acid, adapalene gel with benzoyl peroxide as my dermat prescribed. But no changes.
Hey, loved the video. Just a small suggestion though - Maybe turn the volume of the background music down a little bit. I have a ear infection at the moment so I found it very hard to hear what you were saying against the loud music. This could also be an issue for people with hearing difficulties.
This video helped me understand so much about my skin! I started using the Cereve salicylic acid cleanser and night time moisterizer and now my closed comedones are gone! My skin has never looked more beautiful. Thank you so much for making this video!!!!!
The last few weeks I started using La Roche Effaclar foam clenser and CeraVe's hydrating lotion, not the pm one, and let me tell you that my bumps have significantly decreased! I almost have none now. So happy with the results.
I just checked and Cerave doesn’t hVe a hydrating lotion? There’s the moisturizing cream (tub one) & Day moisturizing lotion. Are you talking about the tall lotion one? :)
funny enough, when i tried niacinamide in a cleanser it made me get a bunch of texture on my skin. it's so interesting how similar things work so differently on everyone
This is the most accurate video I've watched. I've been to the derma before and these are what they discussed and recommended for me. It really helped me get rid of my cc's.
you are so positive that actually having these on my skin was a matter that upset me, but when you talking about this I thought that this is very normal
Hey. Could u make a skin care routine for different types of skins? Me personally with combination skin and cc find it real hard to find perfect skin care products
This is me!! Uh finally. My skin has been so “textured.” I went off the pill and now I have hormonal acne in my chin and texture all over. So annoyed nothings working!!! I’ve been trying Cerave for the last month so I’m hoping I see improvements soon.
i have no clue what i have, they’re skin colored bumps and not itchy sometimes a little red but they don’t pop and turn black. cerave didn’t work to well for me but i might try the salicylic acid cleanser again.
same!!but mine has fungal acne characteristics like the bumps extending to my hairline(i also have them on my chin and cheeks, but its not where my hair touches),and maybe sometimes itch?im not really sure if it itches because i kinda remember it itching but maybe those were my pimples?what’s making me confused is that my bumps are skin colored and their distance from each other appear like cc.in really confused rn help :(
i think mines on the forehead are disappearing except on my hairline(i haven’t used shampoo for like days though).i use tea tree oil and a staff advised me to wear something that’s like for blackheads i think because that product is the only safe one for people my age,i’m 14.i dont often use the product though
I’m sorry I know this is from a while ago but people kept telling me I had fungal acne or sebaceous filaments, but when you said the symptoms for closed commodes I was literally like she described what my skin looks like.
I’m so overwhelmed by all the products that everyone is using and recommending. I’m pretty certain I have CC, but I just have no clue what to use. I just want to break down in tears 😥
Same thing here sis, I only started with a simple skincare routine a month ago because I've had this problem on my skin for over 5 years now and i couldn't figure out what it was until this video, but I'm afraid to use any product on my face and make it worse so I just use a cleanser, moisturizer and sunscreen but I'd love to use something else to help me get rid of this Ccs once and for all but it's just so difficult man so many products and ingredients

@@davadaltamini9503 Hi! It is, i havent used anything specific for the comedones bc i know we need quemical exfoliants for that and it scares me to use any without the advice of a professional, ive done my research tho and it is something that can be done, you just need to look for the most gentle exfoliant, you can search info about quemical exfoliation for beginners :D.
Thank you Cathy! I believe it’s the new moisturizer I’ve been using since my skin is more acne prone. The texture of my skin from the closed comedones feels thicker and gross! I’m so glad I found your video.
This is the best explanation ever especially on how u differentiate between CCs and fungal acne. Now I know I have this CCs for like yearssssss and I've tried everything and they never go away 😭😭😭😭
This is super late, but if you were wearing sunscreen regularly it could be a reaction to sunscreen (i.e. if the sunscreen was expired, or had a lot of fragrance or something that irritated your skin, or if you didn't wash it off properly at night). I had the same thing happen while I was on vacation one time and it turned out my sunscreen was expired by like 4 to 5 months.
I have these in the same place for the past year and wondered what they are! They're hardly noticeable but if I squeeze them, the stuff comes out and the hole becomes sore and turns into a pimple.
I don't even have either of these conditions, but I'm so glad I clicked and watched. Love how you present with some humor but mostly straightforward and clear explanations that are science-based. I'd love to see a mention of which products are vegan and/or cruelty-free as you are making your recommendations. Thanks and keep up the great work!
A routine I'm stuck to for over a month and seeing amazing results- Morning 1) cleanse 2) moisturise 3) sunscreen if I'm going out. Night 1) cleanse 2) adapalene (0.1%) gel 3) moisturise Anybody with any skin problem can follow this routine and literally see results within 3 months. PS choose moisturizer and cleanser for your skin type!
can you help me ? Which is better as a cleaner the product the inkey list ( salicylic acid cleanser) or CeraVe acne foaming cream cleanser ( benzoyl peroxide) .
How to get rid of comedones: 1. Gentle exfoliation to break up clog (low pH salicylic acid in cleanser, BHAs) ceraVe and Inky list/ Paula's choice 2. Retinoids prevent comedones (Differin adapalene) patch test first/ sunscreen- acne flare up may happen 3. Benzyl peroxide- always use with moisturizer (maybe used in form of cleanser) dont overdo it 4. Azelaic acid (the ordinary 10% high conc) Always use sunscreen- Please dont extract them at home
QUICK TIP. if your prone to dandruff it's more likely you have fungal acne and not cc ( or both, unfortunately) the same fungi that causes dandruff( Malassezia) is also causing fungal acne. My skin saw such a big improvement when I took out all the products that could potentially be causing it. This means foundations primers, any product touching m skin with an ingredient that contra-indicated was halted.
I have that condition. I believe seborrheic dermatitis, & I noticed squalane/ squalene & olive oil absolutely enrage that skin condition for me! Fragrance, & certain preservatives cause eczema flare ups on my skin. It’s been a few tough years, but being really observant has paid off in knowing my skin finally.
Omgg thank you for this video . I was just switching my skincare products thinking they were causing it but turns out it was not . I started drinking milk every morning from around the start of May and my pimples increased alot and if it wasn't for your video I would have never been aware milk was causing my pimples again thank you sooooo much
Moisturiser was making my skin dull and oily so i stopped it and started using sunscreen instead. My skin is brighter and almost balanced in oil production.
So to prevent the comedons. I have to select not just the right cleanser, but also the right moisturizer, shampoo, sunscreen, diet and top of that stop myself from extracting . Hormones making me cry 🥺
Best video I've found on CCs, been looking into CCs or what I thought were mila for years with very little information!! Finally know enough to create an effective routine
I've had closed comedonal acne for 10 years. I've tried everything even accutane, which made it worse after using for 8 months. 😭😭 literally cry over my skin
I cut out gluten and diary completely and the difference is night and day. Im shocked how i no longer get acne. I notice I only get acne when i used to eat these things. Its crazy how much ive spent on creams. Creams only treat the surface. When the root of the problem is our diet which was causing inflamation to increase. Acne is a sign of inflamation in the body! One time i accidentally ate a slim jim which has wheat gluten and i had the biggest pimple the very next morning!
FINALLY! Someone gave me an idea of what these bumps might be. Everyone was like "fungal acne" but mine never itch and are skin coloured and sometimes turn into blackheads.

Wow! Fungal acne and closed comedones are so similar! I thought I had fungal acne (but I didn't really do something to them😂) but after hearing the differences between them, I realized that what I got is closed comedones. Would just like to say Nizoral worked for me when nothing else did for the last 5 years.
this is a stupid question but did you apply the shampoo to your face? or wash hair w shampoo.

Some of the tips from my side
1: keep your self far away from oil

Hey, loved the video. Just a small suggestion though - Maybe turn the volume of the background music down a little bit. I have a ear infection at the moment so I found it very hard to hear what you were saying against the loud music. This could also be an issue for people with hearing difficulties.

Hi did your skin purge before it got better?
The last few weeks I started using La Roche Effaclar foam clenser and CeraVe's hydrating lotion, not the pm one, and let me tell you that my bumps have significantly decreased! I almost have none now. So happy with the results.
Why not the pm one? Is there much of a difference?
I just checked and Cerave doesn’t hVe a hydrating lotion? There’s the moisturizing cream (tub one) & Day moisturizing lotion. Are you talking about the tall lotion one? :)
What is your skin type

How to get rid of comedones:
1. Gentle exfoliation to break up clog (low pH salicylic acid in cleanser, BHAs) ceraVe and Inky list/ Paula's choice
2. Retinoids prevent comedones (Differin adapalene) patch test first/ sunscreen- acne flare up may happen
3. Benzyl peroxide- always use with moisturizer (maybe used in form of cleanser) dont overdo it
4. Azelaic acid (the ordinary 10% high conc)
Always use sunscreen-
Please dont extract them at home
QUICK TIP. if your prone to dandruff it's more likely you have fungal acne and not cc ( or both, unfortunately) the same fungi that causes dandruff( Malassezia) is also causing fungal acne. My skin saw such a big improvement when I took out all the products that could potentially be causing it. This means foundations primers, any product touching m skin with an ingredient that contra-indicated was halted.
