    So good man- what a route.
    Lots of laughs along the way too.
    Great to see that 68 yr old getting out there and staying in shape-
    with plenty of days of riding still ahead of him.
    Thx for taking us along on this one- classic NH terrain.

      It was a really great couple of days of riding! I’ll probably do it again next year on the bigger bike.

    Love this video. I live in Epping and got a Husqvarna 701 too. I haven't done the flatlander on my husky yet but on my super tenere.

      Both bikes can do it quite easily. I'm glad to hear you got a 701. They're awesome bikes. Like a high torque dirt bike.

    I wanted to do the Flatlander when I was visiting up there but the owner of the GS I rented said no. Its on my list.

      Did you happen to rent my GS? LOL I also have a 'no off roading' rule for people who rent my bike.

    Great combo of bikes !! i have my KTM 1090R & 300XC both for sale , been debating on building a Tenere' 700 or just go with the 2 bike solution and look for a used GS & used 1cyl dual sport both... or a new Husky 701LR & used Africa twin or , or , or , ???. a travel bike that can do USFS roads and light BDR routes and a dual sport for more off road off road that can kinda travel ?? im envious you have a great combo this & a GS both !!! well done

    • @justsomedude445
      @justsomedude445 3 года назад +2

      i wish i could ride one of those to see how much smoother running the new 1cyl is compared to the ones i had in the past , ktm640/xr650l/atk605/ktm400exc none of which were any fun at all on the highway , shook like wet dogs

    • @AdamChandler86
      @AdamChandler86  3 года назад +1

      Yep, it's tough to pick just ONE bike. 790/T700/701 are the best middle of the road bikes. T7 if you're doing more touring, 690/701 if you ride more dirt. But if you can do an 1190/1250 for touring and 500-690 for off road, you'll be much happier. The 701 has two countershaft balancers which helps. The seat is still too narrow for all day comfort like the GS or T7. The bike has a lot of vibration but at no point were my hands numb or buzzing.

    Happy to see you enjoying the 701 so much! looking forward more adventures with it... are you planning on doing some solo travels camping and cooking? It would be interesting to see what you pack on your Mosko bags as I am doing the same with my 701 :)

    • @AdamChandler86
      @AdamChandler86  3 года назад

      Hi Dani, thanks for watching! Our riding season is almost over. The temperatures are already below 0 Celcius next week so camping will be more difficult. I do have a very good travel setup for cooking & sleeping. It packs small and left Mosko has clothing, first aid, toiletries and cooking with space left over to pack food from the store and the right side is my tools and camping gear. Top case is electronics (camera, drone, iPad) that is easy to grab & go. I will probably do a video on packing in the Spring of next year then do more camping videos next year. Hope you stick around for them :)

      I live in Lebanon NH area so I think I started center-west of the loop. It was a really fantastic ride.

    Do you enjoy the 701 vs your previous Beta 500? Curious on if it’s a big difference for comfort

    • @AdamChandler86
      @AdamChandler86  Год назад

      I wish I still had the Beta. Its torque and weight were so addictive. You can put it in any terrain and it would plow right through. Probably super similar to a KTM500. But after 15 minutes on the highway, the beta was zero fun. Not stable at speed, not comfortable, very small stiff seat. The 701 is more livable if you have to be on pavement for a while. Also 701 has more carrying capacity for overnight camping. I can camp off the Beta it just wasn’t as much fun.

    where did you camp? planning for next year

    • @AdamChandler86
      @AdamChandler86  28 дней назад +1

      I can't remember actually. It's been a few years but stealth camping is easy basically the entire route so long as you're not starting a fire.

    Looks like a fun route. How are the gas stops ? Frequent?

    • @AdamChandler86
      @AdamChandler86  3 года назад +1

      You can get a gas station when you need it. If you have a NAV with fuel station icons enabled like I do, you'll see every 4 or so towns (20 miles) there's one just off the route. You almost never explicitly pass a gas station...that's a rare occurrence. maybe every 50-75 miles does the route take you by one.

  • @badbruise
    @badbruise 3 года назад +1

    Wouldn’t want to do that on a 500 pound bike…..looked fun

    • @anthonymoreno3219
      @anthonymoreno3219 3 года назад +1

      Why not ?

    • @AdamChandler86
      @AdamChandler86  3 года назад +3

      I would have done 90% of it on my 650 pound GSA with knobbies. There were only maybe 5-10 miles total where I felt challenged enough that I would have liked a smaller bike. The issue with riding this year is unexpected mud under leaves...it was a wet season and there were a few rocky portions that were tough if you didn't pick the perfect line. just my opinion. Single track bits would have been impossible.

    • @AdamChandler86
      @AdamChandler86  3 года назад +3

      ...if we have a dry year next year I"ll probably re-do this on the GS. I would have a more fun time I think.

    • @anthonymoreno3219
