Mentioning Nestle makes this seem more as a PR stunt than a genuine well-intentioned educational video. It is becoming clear that this channel is primarily PR material, and the sentiment would seem more genuine if Nestle's involvement was left as a note in the video description rather than being broadcasted as an entire segment of the video itself. Even if Nestle does genuinely want to make amends for the immeasurable damage it has caused, it will only sow mistrust if these videos devote any time to patting Nestle on the back.

Great video until Nestle was mentioned. How are we supposed to mitigate climate change if we are relying on the biggest emitters to solve it. I can assure you Nestle's involvement with agroforestry is exclusively for show.

And even if they do anything that you could call agroforestry, unless enough economic pressure is put on them, they'll still be exploiting their farmers and workers.

Nestlé’s like yes we’re doing this to save the environment. Oh well, a side-effect is that we make millions of dollars because it’s a more profitable way to do it, but we really care about the environment.
    This is the same company
Water privatization: Nestlé has faced criticism for its water bottling practices. The company has been accused of extracting water from vulnerable communities and areas experiencing water scarcity, leading to depletion of local water resources. Nestlé has been involved in disputes over water rights in various locations worldwide, including California, Canada, Pakistan, and Brazil.
Infant formula controversy: Nestlé has been at the center of controversies related to the marketing of infant formula in developing countries. In the 1970s, Nestlé faced allegations that it aggressively marketed its infant formula products to mothers in low-income countries, discouraging breastfeeding and leading to health issues for infants who did not have access to clean water or proper sanitation.
Palm oil sourcing: Nestlé has been criticized for its use of palm oil, which is associated with deforestation, habitat destruction, and human rights violations. While the company has made commitments to use sustainable palm oil, there have been concerns about its supply chain and the verification of sustainable practices.
Exploitation of cocoa farmers: Nestlé, like other chocolate manufacturers, has faced scrutiny for its cocoa sourcing practices. There have been allegations of child labor, forced labor, and poor working conditions in the cocoa supply chain. Nestlé has made efforts to address these issues by implementing certification programs and collaborating with organizations to improve the livelihoods of cocoa farmers.
Marketing unhealthy products: Nestlé has been accused of marketing unhealthy products, especially to children. Critics argue that the company's marketing strategies promote processed foods, sugary snacks, and beverages with little nutritional value, contributing to the global rise in obesity and related health problems.
Bottled water waste: Nestlé's water bottling operations have raised concerns about plastic waste and environmental impact. The company's extensive use of plastic bottles has been criticized for contributing to pollution and adding to the global plastic waste problem.

"Promoting Agroforestry" does nothing to help the climate if the agroforestry systems in question are replacing native forests within national parks.
