I remember when I was a teenager, not interested in classical music. One day I found at home an audio tape with this music, plus an other jewel (concerto for the left hand by Maurice Ravel). I decided to check it for 5 minutes. One hour later I was amazed, trapped, fascinated by these incredibly strong and creative musics, and this day was the start of a passion for Debussy and Ravel ..
Bardzo dziękuję za udostępnienie nagrania! Muzyka Debussy'ego ujmuje swoim zjawiskowym pięknem, zmiennością muzycznych pejzaży, nastrojów i barw. Pięknie zagrane. Już wielokrotnie odsłuchałam iwciąż dostrzegam coś nowego. Jeszcze raz bardzo dziękuję i pozdrawiam serdecznie z Polski. Daniela
@Andrew London Hey Andrew! Have you ever read the book "Don't Waste Your Life" by John Piper? It is pretty dense, but gives a glorious explanation of how to not waste your life! Glad you are picking up piano! It is beautiful to hear and fun to play!
@Andrew London I just listened to A Mother's Tears! It is obvious you have a natural knack for music! I have played piano for 12 years and it took me way long to get where you are. Keep it up!
@Andrew London Oh of course! Thank you for sharing both your thoughts and your music! If you get the chance, check out that book and let me know what you think! This conversation has been refreshing:D
At first I was like "wait this isn't piano let me..." and then I was overwhelmed with beauty and peace. I don't know if they're arrangements or not, but it's beautiful. I love it.
thank you so much for compiling these classical works. they are gorgeously curated, so beautiful to listen to, and I could not imagine studying without them :D
