- Another demo-ish thing I'm working on, I was messing with the archetype gojira plugin. I got a free trial so I figured I'd put it to use to see if I like, let alone can make shoegaze tones from it. I think it was pretty decent, my mix was a little sloppy, I put it together in like 30 minutes lol. You guys might enjoy the roughness, it's a demo for a reason :)

I dig this! Also watched a cover yalll did of a Deftones song and I think it's cool to see your own individual artistic vision realized with this song. Reminds me a little of some Melvins and Nirvana riff based sections. Would love to help you all mix/master your work or just be an extra ear if you ever want one!

Thank you! I've been working on an album that has vocals on it, but when doing demo tracks and stuff like these I don't bother with vocals. Usually those come last for me in my music, I try to think of vibes/emotions first and then I build off of everything. With the instruments I put together, I throw words together that come to my mind from the music and then eventually all the lyrics just come together.
what equipment and daw do you use
For this song, it was literally just my Ibanez GRGR131EX plugged into my Focusrite Solo into the Reaper Daw with the Archetype Gojira X plugin to make the distorted tones.
@@TawperI have a decent ibanez gio and archetype gojira. I might try out reaper because fl studio trial mode prevents you from reopening recent projects.
@GreaseBall- oh that sucks, definitely try Reaper. It is free and I've been using it for a couple years now
