To be honest I'm hoping this channel focuses primarily on marine biology. You really have a gift for bringing the ocean to life for us, your filming is top notch, much of it worthy of being included in an Attenborough documentary.
@@WeiseGuy91 Sorry, it would be diifficult to point you to the specific videos, but I would look for titles related to diving. Almost every time Nate takes a camera in the water its good.
I am glad you are okay and planning on resuming the channel. Please do not feel negative about taking a break. All of us (at least those who can think abstractly for themselves) need not just a week of vacation, but a multi-month period to re-examine our lives and re-commit/re-energize our minds, as well as bodies. I await your new adventure, and hopefully you will take us along with you!
Good to hear you are still around. Look forward to watching your new adventures. Rebreathers is the right way to go, but remember not to be tempted to take any shorts cuts with the scrubbers!
Thank you for taking the time to update us. I have been concerned. I was worried you were done. So, I am thrilled to hear you were just taking a break. I hope your visit home met your expectations. I'm looking forward to your return. Thanks again. 😊
Hi I usual don't leave comments but I am glad you are back. I have enjoyed watching your channel and have lived vicariously through your videos. Family, down time, and rest all are factors in having a healthy life. I urge you to take a couple (at least) of vacations a year, and I believe your viewers would support this decision. After your time off you and your crew will be back recharged and ready to tackle the goals you have set. Thanks again for all the hard work you and your crew have put into this channel.
Hey Nate good to see you are coming back. I was so pumped when I saw the initial launch of this channel and hoped it was focused on marine biology, the islands near those beautiful places, and a bonus of getting to know the people that crewed the boat. I got turned off by the focus on the crew and a certain person that liked lots of video face time and the diving footage became a footnote. The diving and marine biology in my opinion was your wheelhouse for your channel and it was a shame that it got loss as part of the project. I also liked seeing and meeting the crew and whenever it involved the diving I think you had hit a home run. Best of luck on the relaunch and wishing you future success.
Mate, everyone needs a break once in a while. No need to feel guilty about suddenly dashing off and catching up with you and your family etc. You’re looking pretty chilled and I can’t wait for the ‘fresh new video’.
It is time for you all come back and start sharing those great videos. Glad to see that everyone is okay. Be safe and happy and keep exploring. You don’t have to or need to explain the break.
Mixed emotions: glad you're back, and a little notice would have been nice. When I was a juvenile and felt sorry for myself my dad told me, "If you're looking for sympathy it's in the dictionary between shit and syphillis." Cold, but true.
Glad you're back, and totally understand taking a break. Looking forward to seeing you guys again! Thanks Nate! Glad you and the crew are all aright and doing well. 😁😁😁 All the best to you, the crew, and Sylfia of course. Cheers!
Thanks for the update. It is better to take break and reset than to just produce content. I prefer longer content explaining a whole story than this is what wefilmed to get a video up. Your content when you told a story and what you learned about an area was always well done so take breaks get the content and story right then tell it. I will watch it twice or more in longer formats or good stories where I go back to view it. Anyway good diving and sailing
Good onya Nate I was wondering where you had got to .!! But I would just like to say have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year . Can't wait to see you all back on my screen . Have a good one mate .!!! PS The Cuttle fish are still waiting for you .
I was wondering what happened. Welcome back. No explanation needed. You take care of you. IMO nobody compares to your marine life video's. The content the quality and I especially like when you identify the species. Looking forward to the new videos.
Great update. We all require some well needed R&R. The weekly business of RUclips videos, gift shop, sponsors, ever changing crew selection/integration, Covid, boat repairs, dive locations can be physically and mentally draining. You have taken some valuable time to recharge the creative processes. Connect with family. Reflect on the last few years and lessons learned. A lot has happened in your personal life. Same for other couples and close friends who have crewed with you. As a group you have shared some harrowing experiences on you blog. No regrets, the reality of adventures of a group of strangers living aboard a motor sailboat in close quarters. Very little privacy, timeout, personal spaces. That's life. Thanks for your honest update. Can't wait for your suprises in the new year.
Really glad to hear everything is okay. Hitting the reset button is sometimes a must do. We love you, your ship and your team. When you're ready to thrill us again with beautiful adventures again, we will be ready for you
Hi Nate! Any time you have a video block, please invite an enthusiastic newcomer or two aboard, put the camera in his, her or their hands, and see the whole thing through new eyes. It will rekindle your enthusiasm, I promise. What is that mystery map that shows up for a microsecond at 2:29?? Did you or other viewers notice it, stop and go back to find it like I did? lol. You already had the world's best underwater vlogs (which I'd like to see edited together in 90 minute segments of their own) and with the rebreathing equipment, I agree, it can only get better.
Thank goodness it's not all about you!!! Can't wait to see where you AND the whole crew come back to it. Hope the rest was sublime! Nah, brah, you goin' ghost again.....but das' ok. Aloha 🌺🌺🌺🌺
wouw great work in conveying your thoughts in this video with clips. felt like looking in your head and relive all those moments. Good tip, let someone else do the videopart for a time...?
Wasn’t worried, figured as much… but Oooooh, dude, you shouldn’t have made that “promise” at the end [LOL] Still, “we” get you. May I suggest a planned break for yourself every year? Where you are, equally committed [to taking that break] making it as “unplugged” as humanly possible? I follow other YT’ers that “religiously” take a break once every year. Only problem is that a couple of those channels took “the break” and then suddenly dissolved…. Oddly both were sailing channels. One of which completely disappeared… the other re-named the channel. But, $h!t happens, right?….just like what happened to you LOL, so I wouldn’t “promise”, even when you say it in a light hearted way [as you did]. PEACE to you brother!
Family is important and precious, as is the time spent with them all. No long explanations needed. I liked the content being mixed with boat work and filming sea life that was named so I could follow them up on Google. I would love for you to show creatures in more detail with a more detailed commentary.
I understand exactly where you’re coming from and how you ended up feeling the way you felt . We forgive you for not communicating with your humongous fan club! Lol Really though I’m just glad to hear that you’re OK and Sylvia is OK and look forward to wherever the next adventure leads
It's really good to see you got time to fly back to your home tree bloke. I'm a bit of a gambler so I'm going to lay a speculative bet on your big news... In fact I might umm... Double it!
I been wondering wtf happened. I was telling some people to check you out and they was like, dude they haven't posted videos in weeeeeks. All understandable and I don't blame you but CAN YOU GIVE US A HEADS UP NEXT TIME YOUR GOING ON VACATION! lol At least we know your not sunk and all ok. Be watching.
Everyone needs a break....Leaving people hanging isn't cool...Tell us next time you take a break...Shoot I was told at Annapolis Boat Show that Sylfia was on the bottom of the ocean with crew lost...A simple "we are taking a break" would have been nice..Re-breathing is cool. As a PADI Instructor and avid Cave Diver I had a chance to experience Re-breath diving at 40 Fathom Grotto in Ocala Florida 15 years ago. No doubt primitive technology back then..Looking forward to your future video's....
