I have personally own Govo GoSurround 950, JBL Bar DeepBass Mk2, and Samsung B550 soundbars. The samsung and JBL soundbars are a different price segment and both consume well over 300w BUT...they are 2.1 soundbars and the Govo is 5.1 I was STUNNED when I heard the sound from Govo when it is in 5.1 mode. The sound quality from Govo is beautiful to listen to, but there is a sort of artificial enhancement to the sound compared to the sound from JBL and Samsung. The expensive bars sound more natural. But that is only when you listen side by side. Listening to Govo alone is a blissful experience, you will love it. Now comming to the subwoofer, All of them sound similar at max volume of Govo. No distortion. But the Govo dosent even come close when you increase the volume of both Samsung and JBL. Mind you, both the other speakers cost nearly twice as much. The Bass from JBL hits different, trust me it is the Best bass you will ever hear in a speaker system under 30k. But then again it is expensive. I am surprised the Govo comes close to the other two at such a low price point. Awsome set of speakers for a small room.

I'm planning to buy soundbar with Dolby Atmos for my new Tv but all seems expensive now my eyes on Govo 5.1 will it perform well in Dolby Atmos movies like Netflix Hotstar ??

What to go for: Govo GoSurround 950 or GoSurround 970? The 970 model supports Dolby audio (as listed on Amazon). Does 950 model produce satisfactory surround when playing Dolby Atmos content? I've purchased this soundbar only for ott contents and for movies. I wanted to experience the dolby atmos surround effect. I want crystal clear dialogues, music & quality bass, bass should not affect the dialogues. I'm not much a fan of heavy bass. So now I'm so worried about my purchased decision. The main thing I have noticed in govo 950 that center speaker is slightly towards in left. Which I didnt like that.
