Gruesome, yet fascinating history, thanks. I spent quite some time at their grave in Sighthill Cemetery, poor souls 😢 I found it one of my videos, that making it, truly moved me.
Yeah but the British army was the Scottish army...both the radical uprisings of that period and their repression were equally Scottish. As indeed they were in England. Your efforts to twist this into some kind of anti-British point is just propagandist. Scottish history is too important to be mashed and twisted to the ends of contemporary politics.
@cphone8093 that was not the intention. At the time the idea of North Britain rather than Scotland was prevalent and there was no such thing as the Scottish army. It was the British Army with Scottish regiments. I appreciate you watching the video.
The Scottish people, who joined, the British army, only joined for money,to save the families from starving.. Others where starving..due to the farming taxes etc.

It was a travesty what happened to them. I haven't been to their final resting place but did visit their initial one. Thank you so much for watching x
A very moving subject.
It is. Thank you so much for watching x
Another really interesting video. There is a memorial to Baird and Hardie in Paisley. It's in the town's Woodside Cemetery.
Yes, I'll have to visit it sometime. Thank you so much for watching Claire. Always appreciated. Hope you're having a good weekend x
@@scotlandshistory If you're ever in the town, give me a shout.
@@AScottishOdyssey likewise if you're in Stirling! It would be lovely to finally meet you x
@@scotlandshistory It would be. I'm still keeping an eye for the Argyll's Lodging to reopen.
@AScottishOdyssey me too. I was in there years ago but would love to see it again.
Excellent video 😊👍
Thank you!
A sad state of affairs 😢
It was a dark episode in our history for sure. Thank you so much for your continued support Noreen x
