- Would love to hear what you guys think about this new device. Turns out the Nano Traxion will have no integrated lockout I address this in my follow up video. If you have any questions always feel free to reach out. My email is on my channel page or you could just leave a comment.
Had to take some of the music out from the TikTok so other people can't make money off this video. Kinda silly but that's why the audio was missing.

Informative as always. Nice bump up in your video production too! Nice work.
Thanks appreciate it!
Noice. The more knowledge the better especially for a new climber like me.
Found your channel by accident yesterday, Bear Grylls Top Roping, and I've rinsed a load of your videos already. Loving it man, keep up the good work.
in the nano traxion you cant lock the teeth like in the microtraxion. the nano traxion will be work alweys with the pcd
Thanks for this! TikTok LOL
I unfortunately had to take some of the song out because my video got a copyright claim from the Tiktok haha
@@JustinWallace LOL exponential!
Will the spike teeth eat ropes over time?
When the device is used as intended the teeth should have no impact on the rope over time. I’ve used the Micro Traxion which has the exact same teeth as the Nano Traxion on my 9.6 rope and it shows no wear not even a little fuzz. I had the same concern when I first started using a toothed PCD but it ended up not being an issue. The only time I could see the rope getting damaged is if the device get shock loaded which Petzl warns about and should be avoided.
No. Spiked cams dont start to tear the rope until around 5kn.
It looks like petzl really liked the edelrid spoc
It isn’t exactly the same as the spoc because it turns out it has no lock out for the camming mechanism.
@@JustinWallace that's true mate, BTW can't wait for your video tonight about bear grills showing Alex Honnold the ins& outs of climbing 😉 classic
Sometimes it kind of bugs me when climbing companies just keep going, "smaller and lighter!".....The micro Traxion is already small and light enough in my opinion....I wish companies would make options that are "more durable and able to handle heavier loads.
