I have seen hundreds of video on how setting up TX16S for M1/M2 but this is definitely the most explanatory and easy-to-learn for a beginner! Thank you very much
I'm not planning to. All setup steps are shown in the video. Not understanding how a model is created stops you from being able to tweak it to your needed.. Happy flying
@@Painless360 thats true, it would be good to have a template to get started. Thanks again for your great videos. Ill follow your M2 setup and see how I go. 👍🏻
I have been struggling with Zorro for a K110S. Can I use this excellent video of yours as a template? To make things more gradual, can I start by having normal curves only and go on from there? Thks so much.
As always great video. I don't have a "modern" Heli, I'm setting up a flybar tarot 450 I've had for years. I've got an Assan G250 gyro on it and unfortunately I just don't quite follow what I'm supposed to be doing with it. I've never been able to get it into rate mode. My flying skills have digressed to a 3' ish tail in hover diameter. I'm getting that dreadful "tailwag" gyro oscillation. Could someone please explain what I need to dial down in order to make it stop. I've been away from the hobby for a little over 8 years and my Heli is around 10 years old with about 5 hours of flight time and around 9 years of shelf time. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.
Hey, hope all is well… Only this evening was I speaking with Stephen from ScotiaRC, hopefully have a OMP M2 EVO on the way very soon. However, I’m a total newb to helis… I do however own a Taranis X9D Plus TX that I used to use for FPV Quads. I plan to use this to fly the M2, would you have any recommendations for receiver to suit the Taranis? Cheers
By default the heli uses the OMP protocol or an external reciever connected by SBUS. See my series. I used a multiprotocol module to bind to it. Best of luck
Hi, me again, just getting to the setup stage with my M2 EVO and X9D Plus, totally new to flying and would like to have the option of self level setup as a bit of a cushion. Would this be easy to do?
Hi, so i have a futaba sfhss with Jonas Wackershauser setup. I wanted to use the builtin OMP reciever but when i bind to it the collective is not working properly. So i assume the setup for pitch curves is different correct?
Just wondering, what is the benefit of adding an additional receiver?, the M2 comes with a built-in receiver and the Radiomaster you're using has a multiprotocol unit?.
@@Painless360 Thank you, but still not clear. Can you not set different modes, throttle curves, idle-up, etc with the integrated receiver ? BTW, big fan of your channel and content 😃
Nope. See the video in the series using the integrated reciever. No curves or options to tweak anything. You get what OMPHobby programmed into the flybarless controller.. Happy flying
@@arooshelahi Hey Buddy. Using the OMP protocol the throttle percentages are fixed values set by OMP. However you can set your own collective pitch curves for normal, idle ups and TH hold and then use the dual rates and exponential to fine tune the models cyclic responses to your liking, so it's not all bad, just not ideal. But definetly running a seperate receiver, avoiding the in-built OMP protocol, is preferred by the majority of buyers

without this there is no way I could have set up my heli, I did it on a taranis and it pretty much the same, excellent vid!
Wow perfect timing! I want to start heli's this week and I want to get the omp m2. 👍👍
Pretty interesting indeed, Lee! Thanks for all the tips! 😃
Stay safe there with your family! 🖖😊
Thanks heaps, any chance you can supply a model setup for the M2 to download and add to tx16s openTX model folder 😁 Cheers

The heli also comes with futaba fhss protocol
It doesn't come with it but supports for an optional FHSS reciever See the link in description for how to setup..
Thanks for your videos!! I can use the same set for M1? Thanks
The Swan M1? Nor sure..
I think you can setup ELRS the same way ?
Beware of the channel 5 stuff with ExpressLRS... Best of luck
M2 explore with Zorro . You have an setup file ? Thx 🙏
I don't. Best of luck

It's a start. Test everything without the blades on the heli.. Best of luck
Were you able to get that particular FHSS satellite to work with anything other than Receiver ID of 0?
I never tried. If you are using the latest MPM code and can't get it working, report it to the MPM project... Best of luck

@@Painless360 Steve got back to me, he’s sending me a sbus rx too. I’ll get a look at your series of videos 😃👍
Why did you reverse Ail and Rud channels: was it as per the heli's instructions leaflet? Thank you.
It's just what you need to do.. Happy flying
Which connector system is required for the S-Bus connection?
Dupont servo style usually
Thank you.@@Painless360

Yep, that is what the 'oh dear' switch does... best of luck
I’d like to setup my old trex450 pro with vbar on my EdgeTx, is this video suitable? Thank you
It should be very similar, it depends on what the V-Bar needs in terms of channels and throttle/pitch curves.. Best of luck!
thank you

Maybe. I am not familiar with the setup you refer to. This is how I got it all working here. Best of luck
Is spectrum satelite receiver compatible with the radio transmitter
Probably. ruclips.net/video/DfKyx0yTbXU/видео.html
Can you use a frsky sbus receiver?
Not sure, I've not tried. Possibly..
Hi. Will this work with a Frsky taranis x9d running crossfire. Im getting back into helis but want to used my FPV gear with it
Should do.. best of luck
hello what is the radiomaster version is 4 in 1 or ELRS .
I don't understand the question, can you explain what you mean?
4 in 1

Benefit covered at 1:19 in the video... Happy flying

Thanks guys, I understand now and running a separate receiver, all is good 😀
Edge TX is quite a bit different.
Not in the setups I have done here. What specifically and what version?
