Matapalo, Backwash Costa Rica 2023 Adventures in Surf and Wildlife with kids

After living in Costa Rica for almost 2 decades and having traveled most of the country from top to bottom , this has to be my favorite part of Costa Rica. In Matapalo, It is a place where animals are free to roam, the surf is turquoise blue, and the homes are run off of solar. I really hope it stays this way for many more years. The footage at the end was to a quick trip to Playa Karate which borders Corcovado National Park. In the past I have stayed in this area as well which was equally as beautiful but more wild and raw. At our rental in Backwash I took my 1 year old out for a walk on day one and we saw four species of monkeys within the first 5 mins.
