This tool is horrible. I spent 7 hours today terminating fiber and got 3 done. I usually get the flashing amber light when I close the cover. There was no difference in connector loading between the connectors that I (think I) successfully terminated and those I couldn't get to that point with. This kit is absolute garbage! It was an absolute waste of $2700.

amber means you have to clean it. 3 in 7 hours is just plain bad work.

@@TheWaterStar It did that right out of the box. I cleaned it and it still does it. It really is a piece of garbage.
I ended up ignoring the the flashing red light. If I'm confident the fiber is in all the way, I go ahead and crimp it and hope for the best. I'll do that until I run out of connectors and find something that's actually worth the money.
