When Germans Chained Their OWN Soldiers with Machine Guns

- There is a famous story from the first world war which claims that in the battle of the Somme, a dead German soldier was found with his machine gun chained to him. The story spread far and wide, and became a tool of propaganda for both the Allies and Germans. Allies claimed that German commanders had become so desperate that they had to resort to chaining their men to their guns so that they wouldn't abandon their posts. In this video, I analyze this story and share my thoughts about what really happened during the final days of the first world war.
