- On an Early Winter Bushcraft Trip Using only Natural Materials I Build a Primitive Bark Roof Lean-to Survival Shelter in the Fresh Snow and Cook all my food over a campfire on a stone, I spend the night I do some campfire cooking steak on a rock and Breakfast bacon and eggs. I use a knife and chaga to light my fire light my fire. I make Chaga fungus tea. I stay overnight and wake to a fresh snowfall. Winter has arrived and transformed the forest into a beautiful blanket of white.

There are not many materials to effectively make a waterproof shelter but I manage to accomplish the task using 2 huge pieces of bark I carefully remove from a fallen tree. I also build a raised platform with branches and use boughs sticks and twigs to insulate my comfortable sleeping platform.
I chose a large boulder and cliff to shelter me from the wind and to reflect heat from my fire to keep me warm and it worked great. I also had minimal Gear Just My Axe, Saw, machete, cup pot sleeping bag backpack

TED like this shelter it is great but I think I like steak on a stick better hahaha bacon looks GREAT !!! Did some frying outside on a flat rock and it was awesome!!! Oh Oh if you got a spud slice it up and fry it on the rock after the bacon the grease will be the most enjoyable thing for you to have in doing it!!!

I think its better to use Y branch as pillar to support ur roof. Since, its a heavy material on ur top might be fall down when ur rope is weaken / loose. Just my 2 cents.
Круто, мне нравится.
Thank you

Is that your rock spot ????
Hummm a nice and fresh hot chaga.
What is this rock looking thing that he throw to the water in the last meal?
Hey its chaga fungus it looks gross but doesn't taste like much it has a lot of health benefits and it is also ehat i used to catch the spark and start the fire
You must be in Ontario, Am I correct?
Yes
What knife do you use to split wood?
SP8 speck Plus Machete by Ontario knife company amzn.to/2GezpuJ
Awesome! I am baffled by something though. Y'all prevailed under a crappy tarp and didn't freeze to death somehow,on the show. The bark roof is amazing but,man what do you have against walls of some kind? Do you really just run that hot? Is it true ginger's don't feel pain as easily as the rest of us? I really honestly wonder if there's some reasoning behind not having an enclosure that holds in heat. Is it fear of smoke inhalation or are you just that badass?
Here is part 2 with walls added.
://ruclips.net/video/riMOqlYM2o0/видео.html Sometimes sleeping under just a cover likena tarp feels amazing out in the woods. I often sleep weith nothing just a sleeping bag in summer. On the show we didn't have large tarps like other groups because we used it for the boat so the shelter was smaller as a result and the trees in our spot were massive on average so the extra work wasn't worth it because at the end of the day the shelter just has to be good enough and food is king. Get more food build bigger shelter the food is more important . We hested up rocks and put them inside our sleeping bags to keep us warm. And the forest sheltered the wind very well. Same as in this video its not a windy spot. But regardless far better shelters can be made and would be necessary in colder situations. Keeping a fire goin all night is also not typically calories you want to expel either.
At 0:13 which is that white rock you're using to start the fire? Is that quartz?
That looks like such a shitty task to peel bark off a tree
Not so bad
