- This is an interview Mike Tomano and Steve Touhy did for the Tomano & Touhy Halloween Special in 2003. It took place just before Freddy VS Jason was released.
Robert Englund is G.A.N.G.S.T.A.! This man scared the shit outta me when I was little.
it's simply amazing how down-to-earth he is despite all the success.
wow he looks almost like freddy without his mask on
GOOD!! this is and will be always our actor to freddy!
How can this nice, nice man possibly play Freddy Krueger xDD

I was one of those teenage girls who was obsessed with Broadway phantom. A year or so after I saw it for the first time, my parents got me the original Leroux novel for Christmas and I fell in love with phantom of the opera again, but this time I was more captivated by the horror aspect of it. Skip ahead two or three years to last month. I saw Robert Englund's phantom of the opera and fell in love for a third time. I'm literally obsessed with this movie right now, but most phantom fans (even fans of the novel) seem to hate it. This movie gets barely any attention which is a shame because Robert Englund's portrayal of the character was incredible (despite what many say, Robert did a great job separating this character from his iconic Freddy Krueger). Anyway, the movie is definitely worth watching in my opinion.
The greatest actor on the planet.
when ever i have "artist block'' i just watch nightmare and i have do problem drawing again. thank you mr englund
I can't wait to meet him at SCREAMFEST 2007. I've got VIP passes ;)
"Well It Serve's You Right For Frightting All Of The Inacent Teen Kids To Start Now Haveing Nightmare.
I absolutely loved this interview. Robert is such a sweet and intelligent man, and a really great actor. One of the best I've ever seen.
And I would have liked to see the prequel of nightmare on elm street if they did make it with him in it. They should have done that instead of the remake.
As for the remake, I have doubts about seeing it. Without Robert it seems like a bad kind of fan film with hollywood effects. Strange enough, I even had a dream that supposedly told me not to go see it.
most beautiful man to ever walk the earth. ;]
When Rob mentioned rumors of a "Nightmare" prequel, I thought of two things: 1. A "Nightmare" reboot that I heard was coming soon; and 2. The first episode of "Freddy's Nightmares" (the TV series), where they go into more detail about Freddy's trial release and death than the movies did. I wonder if the next movie will be a combination of the two.
id love to meet robert englund
me too, its like listening to an older relative telling ghost stories.
i love Robert Englund hes kick ass
It`s called talent.
My movie is called (The City of Horrors)starring Freddy Kruegar(Robert Englund) Jason voorhees(Kane)Michael Myers(Michael Hawley)storyline:all the characters are dead a man puts them in crates in the back of his truck he got orders to throw the crates in the ocean a few months later they wash up to the shore
AMAZING! Is that you yourself? How'd you get him to talk to you?
..I was..Kidding..

if freddy and michael met in alley who do u think will win
Robert is cool as fuck.
Oh yeah and Wes Craven read a story in papper about a young teen that was haveing nightmares and actually died right in front of his parents while haveing a bad dream this is what inspired A night mare on elm street just fact that even in your dreams you are not safe
Actually The freddy mask was made after his face the oringal concet of the mask was suposee be an old man with a witch like noise Wes Craven actually had a bully at school that use beat him up named Fred Kruger thats where Freddy Kruger comes from and when Wes craven was 6 years old a old man went up to his window and walk away and scaryed him half to death this was the inspired freddys face
to bad he is not in the prequel coming out.
wow he realy looks like ryan stiles
a man(Martin Walker)and his girlfriend(Jessica Simpson)are in the water all the sudden underwater Jason Voorhees(Kane) smashes his soggy crate open and pulls the girl down and slices her with a machete blood slowly rises to the top
@sparkynette i know what you're talking about. have you found it yet?
so how many of the girls out there like his freddy? his eric? or both? im just curious...personally i wouldnt mind all three(robert, eric, and freddy)
The 1st time I saw Phantom of the Opera It was okay later on that night I had a nightmare between the phantom and Freddy I don't know why but I did I guess because in certain scenes the phantom looked like Freddy to an extent of the half burnt like face anyways in the dream I was Tina running from Freddy/the phantom anyways I wake up horrified anyways later the next day there giving a noes marathon on sci-fi It was weird and eerie anyways I was debating with myself should I watch it should I not and then I was like fuck it it's Robert Englund aka Freddy Krueger how can I not see a noes also a little side note for people who are fans of Robert Englund and James Marsters who would like to see them in a movie together as father and son
@shorty2347ful I agree completely. maybe they should freeze him as a legend wen he near death *shrugs* or not idk
so thats wat he looks like without his make up on..
Michael Myers
Man why is his name freddy kruegar it should be freddy cougar
GOD I"D LOVVE to see a freddy pre-nightmare on elm street series of movies. I just fear that if they did one today it'd have the same characters as all the new horror movies: the bitchy blonde girl, the bitchy blonde boy, the token black guy, the 2 brunette main characters who find love and live through the end. Im so sick of that, all horror movies today has those stupid characters, Nightmare was different and it should remain different
